More than 200 secondary school and college students took part in engaging workshops led by local NHS professionals, including nurses, dietitians and speech and language therapists.

Working alongside senior practitioners, degree apprentices and Sheffield Hallam University students, participants gained valuable insight into healthcare careers, professional practice and the vital support provided to patients across our communities. They also heard first hand career journeys and experiences, helping to inspire their own future pathways.

As part of Owen's October, our T Level students have organised a charity raffle to raise money for PACT (Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia).

📅 Tickets on sale: 12-15 October
💰 20p per ticket or £2 per strip
📍 Available in college social areas during break and lunchtime

🧠🌟Today our Y13 BTEC and A Level Psychology students experienced a work related learning day.

We welcomed a range of health care professionals to give students insight into the world of mental health careers. The students got to know about a range of different roles within this field such as an Education Mental Health Care Practitioners, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and support for SEND students.

They also worked on designing care plans for real life case studies and were able to develop their TRC Top 10 employability skills such as communication, time management and a whole load of analytic thinking!!

We’re incredibly proud of our Level 3 Health & Social Care and T-Level Health students! Through fantastic baking, generous donations and brilliant support from students and staff, they’ve raised an amazing £207 for Macmillan Cancer Support. 🎂👏💚

This lunchtime we celebrated students who have been putting their future ready skills into action, from being problem solvers, analysers, thinkers and challengers to demonstrating great communication, learning, leadership, resilience and awareness.

Students received their TRC Top 10 Skills awards during a special lunchtime ceremony, recognising the skills and attitudes that will help them succeed in their next steps and beyond. Thank you to our partners for sponsoring the awards and prizes.
