This is an important role in helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. You will take pride in ensuring the school is kept to a high standard, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

🥋 Recently, five of our students travelled to Austria to compete on the WMAC world stage, following months of hard work, dedication and training. Their commitment and determination certainly paid off, as they all performed incredibly well, returning home with an impressive 12 medals and belts between them!

This is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the effort they have put into their training. They should all be extremely proud of what they have achieved.

⭐ Last week, we celebrated the fantastic achievements of our KS4 students, recognising their hard work and commitment across a wide range of subjects. From achieving the most CFPs and showing consistent effort in their coursework to supporting others and demonstrating kindness, our students continue to show resilience and a positive attitude towards their learning.

🧪 This week in Science Club, students explored the fascinating science behind invisibility! They investigated how refraction of light can make glassware appear to disappear when placed in oil. They then put their practical skills to the test by making their own witch slime, which everyone successfully created.

It was another fun and hands-on session, giving pupils the chance to explore scientific ideas through practical experiments. All pupils who attended also received a free raffle ticket for the attendance wheel, which will take place during the final week before the Christmas break. Well done, everyone!

📣 Recently, Thrybergh Academy celebrated European Day of Languages! Students explored the importance of learning different languages and cultures while taking part in fun activities throughout the week. They enjoyed speaking different languages with teachers and searching around school for phrases in different languages.

It was a fantastic week of exploring languages, cultures and the wider world! Want to take it a step further? Why not research a culture different from your own and share your findings with your form? This could help you tick off your Silver Cultural Experiences pledge!

Thank you to all the prospective students and families who attended our Year 5/6 Open Evening last night!

The event began with a welcome presentation from our Headteacher, Mr May, outlining our vision for student success. Families then toured our subject areas, enjoyed hands-on demonstrations, and spoke with staff and students about life at TA.

As part of Wickersley Partnership Trust, our core mission is to send all young people into an ever-changing world, able and qualified to play their full part in it. We were proud to showcase our ambitious curriculum and values, which support students in becoming confident, capable, and resilient young adults.

We hope all our visitors gained a feel for our warm and supportive learning community and we're looking forward to welcoming many of the Y6s back as official TA students during the Transition period in the summer.

A final big thank you to our brilliant student helpers who guided visitors throughout the night - they were fantastic ambassadors of the Thrybergh Way!
