Our Y6 Leavers (minus one!) sporting their leavers hoodies today following an emotional leavers assembly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as we celebrated their amazing achievements during their time in the Primary phase. You are all so ready for the next stage in your Newman journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of the young people you are 💙

Some of our NAR students had a fantastic day out at the Butterfly House! 🦋☀️

We were lucky to have beautiful weather, making it the perfect day to explore. Students loved meeting the amazing animals, splashing and playing in the water, and enjoying everything the Butterfly House had to offer.
It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and new experiences being shared throughout the day.

A brilliant trip with lots of happy memories made! 💙

What a fantastic afternoon we had at Newman by the Sea! 🌊🏖️

It was wonderful to see so many of our students and their families come along to enjoy the day together. We were incredibly lucky with the beautiful sunshine, which made it feel just like a real day at the seaside! 🌞

Our students had a brilliant time playing in the sand, splashing in the water, chasing bubbles, and creating lots of happy memories. Of course, the highlight for many was a visit from the ice cream van 🍦—the perfect treat on such a sunny day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We love creating opportunities for our school community to come together and can’t wait for the next one! 💙

Our Summer Children's Workshop Programme is now open for bookings, with a fantastic range of creative sewing and craft activities for young people of all abilities.

We've got workshops for:

Whether they're trying sewing for the very first time or already love getting creative, our friendly tutors will guide them every step of the way in a fun, relaxed and welcoming environment.

Join Grimm & Co and Rotherham Family Hubs this summer as What the Ladybird Heard goes on a storytelling tour across Rotherham!

Inspired by the much-loved story by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks, these free sessions give children the chance to enjoy:

🐞 Storytelling
🎨 Creative play
🌿 Sensory exploration
📖 Fun with books and stories

It's a great way to support your child's love of reading, imagination and communication skills while having lots of fun together.

💙 Rotherham Loves Reading, and we'd love you to come along and join in!

📍 Sessions are taking place at Family Hubs and community venues across Rotherham throughout July and August - see the photos for dates and venues.

These events are mainly for younger, pre-school children, but children up to 8 years old are very welcome.

Check out our new Catering uniform! Newman School Dinnington successfully secured a £1,000 loan from Talentino - Part of the Peter Jones Foundation. Talentino offers a unique opportunity for schools and colleges to access funding and resources for inclusive enterprise projects.

The money has been split equally between each of our 3 Enterprise subjects - Floristry, Catering and Construction - to buy resources in order for students to experience enterprise in real-life.

We are very proud of how well our students are developing invaluable skills, such as employability , teamwork and communication, through Enterprise activities.
