Today we celebrate the achievements of our fantastic Year 13 students 🎉

Behind every grade are countless hours of study, determination and perseverance, and we couldn't be prouder of everything this year's cohort has accomplished.

This year’s results mark a fourth consecutive year of improvement for our Sixth Form, with the average A-level point score rising again and more than a quarter of all A-level entries achieving A*-A grades. We are also delighted that 83% of entries achieved A*-C grades, reflecting the hard work and ambition of our students and staff.

Whether you're progressing to university, beginning an apprenticeship, entering employment or taking another exciting path, we wish every one of you the very best for the future.

🐎 Recently, Year 9 student Maisie took part in the Area 6 Dressage competition for Grove Hunt Pony Club, riding her horse Teddy. The competition brought together riders from across the region, and Maisie put in a strong performance to finish 9th in the Novice Test – a fantastic achievement that she should be really proud of.

We are seeking a Governance Advisor (Behaviour & Panels) to provide high-quality governance, administrative, and organisational support across the Trust.

Alongside traditional clerking duties - such as preparing agendas, minuting board meetings, and advising on statutory compliance - you will act as the Trust’s primary administrative point of contact for Permanent Exclusion (PX) and Behaviour Panels. You will handle highly sensitive documentation, liaise with vulnerable families during challenging times, and ensure that all panels are legally robust and strictly compliant with statutory timelines.

On Monday 13th July, we held our annual WSSC Sports Awards Presentation Evening. The evening was a fantastic celebration of the sporting achievements and success of our students throughout the year. It was wonderful to come together to recognise the commitment and hard work shown by so many of our talented athletes, teams, and sports leaders.

The celebrations began with the awards presentation, including a special video looking back at some of the highlights from an incredible year of sport at Wickersley. After this, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal from the pizza van before making the most of the photobooth provided by the WPT Media Team, capturing plenty of fun memories with friends. The evening was then rounded off with live music, dancing, and lots of celebration.
