It’s that time of year again — just four months to go until GCSEs.

For the fourth year running, I’ll be launching my English Onside course, designed to give students the confidence, clarity and consistency they need in the crucial build-up to their final exams.

In summer 2025, every student on the programme achieved at least a Grade 5 in English Language, exceeding their target grade of 4.

Throughout the course, I teach English Language using highly engaging, sport-focused content and an approach that is suited to all learning styles.

Hi all,

After two successful English Language revision programmes, we are back for a third year, offering to support/boost any Y11 students who need that extra focus for their Summer GCSEs.

Using sport/football as a teaching tool, we aim to engage and inspire our students to success in English Language.

With colleges and employers after those all-important pass grades, we have a 94% success rate, with our students achieving a grade 4 or higher - with some achieving as high as grades 7 and 8.

From September, I’ll be delivering KS3 classes to help those students get back on track.

Through football-themed, bespoke lessons, tailored to sport enthusiasts, I’ll be able help your child rediscover their love of English whilst also helping them to improve their literacy skills.

Our 1 hour, weekly sessions will cover all Language skills needed, such as:
⚽️ Descriptive and narrative writing
⚽️ Transactional writing - letters/articles
⚽️ Reading comprehension
⚽️ Spelling, punctuation and grammar

These small group sessions are a fraction of the cost of private tuition, but have been proven to secure rapid progress and attainment amongst learners.

Are you in need of some GCSE English Language and Literature revision in the run up to exams? A lot of students struggle to revise independently, but I’m here to help.

I’ll be running some online sessions - pay as you go - for the different questions on both AQA Lang and Lit papers.

These will run weekly on the free Google Clasroom app from w/c 15th April, at a fraction of the cost you’d pay for 1:1 tuition - and no commitment necessary!

After the successful start to the midweek English Onside revision programme, I can now confirm that I will be looking to run an Easter revision programme, likely to be 3x 2hour sessions for English Language from w/c 1.4.24.

Hi everyone. After the amazing success of our first English Onside GCSE course, we’re looking to now offer a KS3 transition programme aimed at 12-14 year olds who are keen to improve their reading and writing skills.

The programme will again focus around literacy, using football texts (articles/letters/speeches) as a stimulus to help engage and inspire.

At the minute, I’m just trying to gauge interest. We’ll be looking towards doing a few days of study during the final week of the Summer Holidays, ready for our students to hit the ground running next academic year.

I just wanted to let you know that I’m offering some English Language Booster Sessions this week (before Language Paper 1) and next (before Language Paper 2). The usual cost is £40 per hour, but if you book in two sessions, I can offer a 25% discount - working out at £60 for both Language Paper 1 and 2 revision sessions.
