📣 Water Safety Reminder

As the warm weather continues, we know it can be tempting to cool off in local reservoirs, lakes, rivers, and other open water.

However, it is important to remember that open water can be extremely dangerous. While it may appear calm and safe on the surface, hidden hazards such as cold water shock, strong currents, underwater obstacles.

Please enjoy the sunshine responsibly and remember, no swim is worth the risk. Stay out of the water and stay safe.

📣 Recently, Year 6 students took part in the Wickersley Partnership Trust Residentials, organised by the WPT Sports Development Team. The children enjoyed an action-packed experience, including the opportunity to take part in indoor climbing at Cranworth, where they challenged themselves, built confidence, and showed great determination as they tackled the climbing walls. They also visited Rufford Abbey Country Park, exploring the beautiful surroundings on a scenic walk and taking part in an exciting duck hunt through the woodland.

After their busy adventures, the students camped at Cranworth, enjoyed some delicious food, and spent quality time with friends. Everyone represented the school brilliantly throughout the trip and should be very proud of themselves!

We're holding an Open Afternoon for parents and carers to take a look around our school, meet our fantastic team and discover what makes EYFS so special.

📣 At STEM Club last week, KS2 took on an exciting engineering challenge: to build the tallest tower possible using only straws and masking tape that could successfully support a tennis ball.

The children showed fantastic creativity and problem-solving skills as they designed, tested, and improved their structures. There was plenty of determination and perseverance on display as everyone worked hard to make their towers stronger and taller. Well done to everyone involved!

🎤 Recently, KS2 took part in the Rotherham Music One Voice event, joining pupils from across the area for a fantastic celebration of music and singing. Our students represented the school brilliantly throughout the event. They were exceptionally well behaved, sang with enthusiasm, and put a tremendous amount of effort into learning and performing the songs.

We are incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves and the energy they brought to the performance. Well done to everyone involved!

Help us grow the WPT Uniform Bank 👕♻️

As the school year comes to an end, many families find themselves with school uniform that has been outgrown but still has plenty of life left in it.

We're asking our school community to help us build the Wickersley Partnership Trust Uniform Bank by donating good-quality uniform items that are no longer needed. By giving pre-loved uniform a second life, we can help reduce costs for families, minimise waste and ensure students have access to the clothing they need for school.

We're looking for donations of:

🔷 Jumpers and cardigans
🔷 Shirts and polo shirts
🔷 Trousers, skirts and shorts
🔷 PE kit and sportswear
🔷 School shoes and black trainers
🔷 Coats

All sizes are welcome, provided items are clean and in good condition.

Every donation will contribute to a growing resource that supports families across our school and Trust.

Donations can be dropped off at school reception on any school day or during the following collection events:

Introducing the WPT Prom Bank for Year 6 and Year 11! 👗👞

Prom is a special milestone for our students, but the cost of prom wear and accessories can be a challenge for some families.

That’s why Wickersley Partnership Trust is proud to launch the WPT Prom Bank - a new initiative designed to help future Year 6 and 11 students access and borrow prom attire, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to celebrate their big night with confidence.

As this year’s prom season is underway, students and families are invited to consider donating:

🔷 And other suitable items

All sizes of adult formalwear and children's formalwear from 9 - 12 years are welcomed.
