π¨ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE π¨
With the recent hot weather, we know how tempting it can be to cool off in local reservoirs, lakes and rivers.
We urge all students and families to remember the dangers of water.
The water may look safe and calm on the surface, but you can never know the conditions underneath.
Cold water shock, sudden drop-offs, and hidden currents are deadly. Even strong swimmers can encounter difficulties.
Please stay out of the water. Do not take the risk.

ποΈ In the final week before half term, Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Filey as part of their Geography learning. During the visit, the children explored a range of coastal features and saw first-hand many of the landforms they had been learning about in class. They also had the opportunity to go rock pooling, play beach games, and enjoy some time browsing the local shops for treats.
It was a fun and memorable day that combined learning with plenty of seaside enjoyment. Everyone had a fantastic time and represented the school brilliantly throughout the trip. Well done, Year 6!

π On Friday 15th May, Y6 took part in the annual Rotherham School Games Colour Run. The pupils had an amazing time taking part in the colourful event, showing fantastic enthusiasm, energy, and teamwork throughout the day. As well as being a fun celebration after all of their hard work, the event also helped support the incredible Rotherham Hospice and the important work they do within the community.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented the school so brilliantly. We would also like to say a big thank you to Rotherham School Games for organising such a fantastic event.

π₯ Recently, Year 6 began developing new musical skills through bucket drumming. The children learned how to hold drumsticks correctly and practised playing simple rhythms on the buckets. They showed great focus and enthusiasm as they explored different beats and worked together to keep in time.
It has been fantastic to see the children building their confidence and musical skills through this fun and engaging activity. Well done, Year 6!
