🫅🫅'One more step along the world ...' 🫅🫅

This week we said 'au revoir' to the 'Queen of Ryecroft' our wonderful Mrs Needham. After almost 3 decades at our school her love, care and dedication to the children and staff of this community has touched more of our families that she would care to remember. Nothing but a special celebration would do!

She leaves us with all our love to spend more special time with her lovely husband Alan and her grandchildren.

Our children have had a wonderful final week in their classes, enjoying special activities and celebrating all they've accomplished this year.
We hope everyone has a fantastic summer break!

🏫✏️🎒 Moving On Up! 🏫🎒✏️

Change is always a challenge and we work hard to support our children on their journey into school and to their next steps. While we have been busy welcoming our September starters, we have loved the pictures and updates from our Rosehill family of our wonderful Y2 children who have spent 3 days with Mrs Pritchard in their new class. We are so proud of them!

This week in Curious Caterpillars we have enjoyed a wonderful ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ to celebrate our time in Foundation Stage. Children brought into school their favorite teddy bears and they joined us for lots of delicious treats, such as cakes and ice lollies.

Come and Hear Us Read - Starring the Ryecroft Teachers!

We love a chance to share a story at our annual 'Come and Read'. Parents and children listening to the staff share a book with some fantastic props is always a favourite!

We love our EIS Sports Day because:
1) We never get rained off
2) It's never too hot or too cold
3) We get to try out activities we don't have at school
4) Our fantastic families get to join us!

We were incredibly proud of our children and the resilience they showed all day

😀🛝🥅🪆📕 Fun in the sun at playtime. We love sharing and playing with our friends, building, constructing and making up stories. 😀🛝🥅🪆📕

Today we celebrated World Music Day. Our children have enjoyed celebrating the wonderful world of music. They listened to some famous musicians and bands, including Elton John, Louis Armstrong and The Beatles, exploring different styles of music and learning about the people behind the songs.

The children loved listening, moving to the music and sharing their thoughts about their favourite tunes.
