Building on the success of the existing Football Scholarship, we are introducing:

These additions further strengthen our commitment to providing diverse, high-quality pathways that support students’ individual talents, aspirations and future career opportunities.

A Knockout Opportunity: Boxing Scholarship Coming September 2026
We are incredibly proud to be launching our Boxing Scholarship from September 2026, in partnership with DC Boxing.
This exciting new programme will be an addition to our existing Football Scholarship offered at The Sixth Form Partnership, further expanding the opportunities available to our students.
Today, we were delighted to be joined by Alex Le Guevel from Matchroom Boxing and Aaron Morten from Empire Fighting Chance They spent time speaking with our students and staff, sharing their experiences and exploring how we can work together to develop the programme, promote the sport, and create meaningful pathways for young people.
This is just the beginning, and we’re excited about what the future holds for this partnership and our students.

Last night, we were proud to host our first Referee CPD event at Maltby Grammar Business Hub.
We were delighted to welcome PGMOL and FIFA referee Darren England, who shared valuable insights from his journey at the highest level of the game. Our students had a fantastic opportunity to listen, engage, and ask questions, gaining real insight into officiating at elite level.
Events like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of providing authentic experiences that inspire and inform our young people.
We’re now really looking forward to officially launching our Referee Scholarship this September as part of our scholarship offering at The Sixth Form Partnership, creating even more opportunities for aspiring referees to develop and succeed.
A big thank you to Darren England and everyone involved in making the evening such a success.

A brilliant evening of learning and inspiration
We were delighted to be part of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA CPD event on Tuesday 28 April, delivered in partnership with Mike Phelan Coaching.
With a career spanning the very top of the game – including his time working alongside Sir Alex Ferguson- Mike Phelan delivered an engaging and insightful session to over 70 coaches from across South Yorkshire. His experiences and reflections on leadership, coaching and high‑performance environments sparked great discussion and learning throughout the evening.
Coaches had a fantastic opportunity to gain first‑hand insight into elite football, ask questions, and reflect on how these principles can be applied within their own coaching and educational settings.
A huge thank you to Mike Phelan for sharing his time and expertise, to the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA, and to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and inspiring event. We were especially proud to see our football scholars from The Sixth Form Partnership (Maltby Academy - Sir Thomas Wharton Academy) and Wath Academy engaging so positively.

Exceptional Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Over the Easter break, some of our students took part in some truly amazing and exceptional school trips, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
From exploring the culture and history of Malaga, to an unforgettable adventure in Costa Rica, taking on the slopes during a ski trip in Italy, discovering heritage on a visit to Malta, and experiencing the vibrant city of Lisbon, our young adults embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, confidence and pride.
These experiences are a vital part of our commitment to offering exceptional opportunities that broaden horizons, build independence and inspire ambition beyond the classroom.
