Got any formal wear or suits tucked in your wardrobe that no longer get worn?

Donate your pre-loved suits to the WPT Prom Bank and help us remove barriers to access, ensuring every student has equal opportunity to attend Prom.

As the Primary Catering Manager, you will be the heart of the school kitchen. You will take full responsibility for the preparation and service of meals, ensuring they meet the Trust’s high standards and are consistent with our cookbook and recipes.

🐉 This week, Year 3 created freeze frames as part of their familiarisation with the great Roof-Top Dragon. Next, they will be checking CCTV footage after spotting a dragon hiding behind the roof of the school! The pupils are already excited to investigate and find out more about their mysterious visitor.

We can’t wait to see where their investigation leads!

📣 We are absolutely delighted to share the official results of our recent Ofsted inspection!

Inspectors praised our:

- Inclusion and wellbeing, recognising our nurturing, inclusive environment and how staff adapt learning to meet pupils’ individual needs.

- Personal development, including the Ashwood Way, strong pastoral care and opportunities that build confidence, life skills and citizenship.

- Pupil behaviour and culture, with pupils described as “fabulous representatives of their school” and praised for their positive attitudes, respect and calm approach to learning.

- Early Years and the curriculum, highlighting skilled teaching, rapid progress and strong foundations in reading, writing and maths.

- Safeguarding, with inspectors recognising our strong culture where pupils feel safe and supported.

A huge thank you to our pupils, dedicated staff, and supportive parents and carers. Together, they make Rawmarsh Ashwood a school to be proud of.

🏃 A huge well done to our young athletes who gave it their all at the Cross Country event last Friday! Hosted at Abbey School, the event brought together young runners for an afternoon of determination, teamwork and healthy competition. The course tested their stamina, but our Ashwood pupils rose to the challenge and showed fantastic effort throughout.

Every runner received a well-deserved medal to celebrate their participation and hard work. Our pupils represented Rawmarsh Ashwood brilliantly, supporting and encouraging one another along the way. Well done to everyone involved!

🌟 This week, Foundation have made an amazing start to their Little Wandle phonics learning! They have been fantastic at spotting and identifying the graphemes they have been learning in different places around their environment. It has been brilliant to see them putting their phonics knowledge into practice and recognising their taught graphemes beyond the classroom.

💻 This week, Year 6 have been exploring the world of computing and multimedia presentations. They have been developing their skills by learning how to change font sizes, customise backgrounds, and add images and effects to make their presentations more engaging and eye-catching.

The children have really enjoyed experimenting with the different features and have shown fantastic creativity as they bring their presentations to life. Well done, Y6!
