KRPS Parent Council Operated by the Parent Council of Kings Road Primary, this page allows us to pass on information and Over 20 schools from the local area participate.

Kings Road Parent Council
The parent Council is led by parents, for parents and all parents are welcome to come along to the meetings, which are held throughout the year. This is an excellent forum for parents to come together with Teaching staff, share ideas, put forward their views and have some say in what goes on at Kings Road. Email - [email protected]


Dunfermline Children’s Gala – Kings Road Team

The Gala, which first took place in 1902 is organised by a team of local volunteers and is held in June each year. Parent volunteers from our school liaise with the Gala Committee and organise fundraising events throughout the year culminating in the Gala Day itself when the children parade down Dunfermline High Stree and then have lunch and sports activities. Information about these groups will be posted on this page. Dates of our meetings and any relevant information will also be included in the school newsletter or distributed as a note to you. A wee message from Mrs Mackie;

Dear Parents / Carers /pupils I would like to say a massive thank you to you all for all the gifts , flowers , cards, messages and hugs I have received this week. The memory book made me cry with all the beautiful messages.
I am so lucky to have worked in three amazing schools during my 37 years where I have had the opportunity to work with amazing parents and pupils. The last 13 of them have been at King’s Road. In this time I have seen many families move through the school and it has been lovely seeing them all grow and lead their own paths. I want to say a massive thank you to each and everyone of you for all the support you have given me over these years.
I will be back in to visit - I have been instructed by the P7s that I cannot book any holidays when it’s their tshirt signing , end of term events and assemblies ! 😂

We made it! End of term!

We hope everyone has a lovely holiday, whether you’re chilling, going away on holiday or spending some time with family, whatever your plans, we hope you have a great time.

We look forward to seeing everyone back, well rested and raring to go on 26th!

We also want to take this opportunity to wish Mrs Mackie a very happy retirement, you’ll agree she has played a massive part in shaping kids futures and will be missed around school 🥰

Please tag/nominate the parent council to help us as we look to replace/replenish the reading books in the school. This money would mean we could replenish the books in the school for our young readers and look at the other resources that we could purchase to support reading, writing & listening in the school.

We're looking for donations for our Christmas Fayre Tombola.

We would be grateful for any new and unused items such as:

Now that Halloween Disco tickets have closed, we wanted to thank everyone that have put their name down as parent helpers

Emails will start to go out from tomorrow so we can get everything sorted before the October break
