Gateway Lodge recognised for championing children’s health and wellbeing
We’re proud to share that @‌GatewayLodgeNursery, part of Lea Primary, has received the ‘Healthy Tots’ accreditation, a special award celebrating their commitment to helping young children lead healthier, happier lives.
Through the Healthy Tots programme, Gateway Lodge staff have worked closely with Herefordshire Council’s Public Health Team to:
✅ Encourage healthier food and drink choices
✅ Promote regular physical activity
✅ Support emotional wellbeing for both children and staff
This programme is part of the government’s ‘Best Start in Life’ initiative and provides early years settings with practical tools to plan, teach and track health and wellbeing.
A huge congratulations to everyone at Gateway Lodge and thank you for helping give Herefordshire’s youngest residents the best possible start

What a fun filled, jam packed start to the academic year 🤩 here is an insight into the exciting activites we have had for the children so far!

We have had visits from,' Animal Interactive,' 🐭🐰🦉🦊🐍 and Tim from Herefordshire council, who is a bug identification expert 🕷🐜🪲🪱 teaching us lots of fascinating facts.

We have welcomed so many new faces this term and they have all settled in beautifully 🥰

The staff and children at Gateway Lodge Nursery would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mrs Tidiman for taking the time to go to Aldi and buy us these wooden toy items we wanted 🤩

This is what we have been able to buy with the money from our cake sale and some donations from Mrs Tidiman 🥰 which we greatly appreciate 🌟
