Due to wonderful demand (thank you so much 🥰) I have opened a new Jolly Babies class at 11:30am on Thursdays at The Play Park Romsey! All our classes include free entry to the soft play & sensory facilities!

Those on the waitlist get priority booking for these spaces (and they’re already getting booked fast- thank you to those that have already nabbed their spaces! 💨)

💜💙 New Term- with Free Soft Play!

Our new block of sessions starts on Thursday 17th September and it’s the perfect time to come and join us, with FREE soft play included with every Jolly Melodies class! 🎶

💫 Jolly Toddlers- 4 spaces remaining!
Our theme for this term is TRANSPORT! 🚘🚎✈️🚲⛵️🚁🚜🚂 We’ll be exploring lots of different modes of transport with our wonderful unique songs and lots of fun props. Our gentle musical concept will focus on tempo, and 'start and stop', all at the children’s pace- and as always, our main focus will be fun!! 🎶🎵 Age: 15 months-school.

💫 Jolly Babies- 10:45am class FULL, new 11:30am class added to timetable- spaces available! 🎶
A mixture of our own unique Jolly Melodies songs and some familiar favourites. Each session combines action songs, stimulating sensory props, percussion time with instruments, gentle dancing songs, and we wind down with some listening time & bubbles. 🫧 Every song we sing in class has developmental benefits for your baby- reaching, core strengthening, visual tracking, social skills, hand/eye co-ordination, and fine motor skills. Bopping, bonding, bouncing & bubbles! 🫧 Age: birth-15 months.

We love using group props in our classes- look at T, D, & L-M exploring the friendship ring in Jolly Babies! 🥰
Babies love the soft stretchy texture, and when they hold on, the collective motion provides a fantastic way to help them join in with the actions of songs!

Why do we use the Friendship Ring? 🌈
It might look like we’re simply having fun holding onto a big colourful ring together, but our Friendship Ring activities are packed with opportunities for babies to learn and develop! 🥰

🤝 Building strength & coordination
Holding onto the ring encourages babies to grasp, reach and use both hands, helping to develop their hand strength and coordination.

🎶 Helping little hands join in with actions
For babies who are still developing their coordination, holding onto the ring gives them something to anchor onto while they practise moving their bodies along with our songs.

🔄 Cause & effect
Pulling, lifting, shaking or moving the ring helps babies begin to understand that “when I move, something happens!”

👀 Developing awareness of others
Babies can see the ring moving around them and begin to notice that their actions are connected to the movements of the people around them.

🫶 Learning to work together
Moving the Friendship Ring as a group introduces babies to the very beginnings of teamwork- we move together, stop together, lift together and shake together!

💛 And, of course… friendship!
A group of babies all holding onto the same ring are sharing a bonding experience, watching each other and learning that music is something we can enjoy together.

💫 If you have a toddler/preschooler aged 15 months-4 years, Jolly Toddlers! 🧒👦

💫 If you have a toddler/preschooler and a younger sibling, coming along to Jolly Toddlers is best- younger siblings under 12 months are FREE and will still get lots out of the class! And when they turn one, they will only pay HALF PRICE!

💫 We have a 50% sibling discount for all classes- twins, triplets, multiples, or siblings only pay HALF PRICE!

💫We welcome any caregivers bringing children- mums, dads, grandparents, aunties, uncles- you get the idea! (And many of our song lyrics can be adapted to include those present at the class!)

A closer look at our new venue for September- The Play Park Romsey! When you book a Jolly Melodies class, you automatically get FREE ENTRY to all the fantastic facilities on site.

⭐️ This lovely family hub has a designated under 4’s soft play, with a play frame especially designed for little adventurers- a little slide and ball pit, ladders, building blocks, swings, and lots more.

⭐️ There is a wonderfully calm and quiet baby sensory room for ages 0-2, with play equipment, toys, lights, & lots of sensory equipment to explore.

⭐️ A fully stocked children’s ‘book-nook’ for those quiet 5 minutes together. 📚

⭐️ And for the more adventurous pre-schoolers, full access to the main 3-storey play-frame with endless opportunities for adventure!

👆👆All of the above is included absolutely FREE when you come along to a Jolly Melodies class! 👀

Hello everyone! 👋 👋

We have lots of new followers here and lots of lovely new families joining us at classes in September- so I thought I’d do a little post to re-introduce myself! I’m Katherine and I setup Jolly Melodies Romsey back in January! My little business is now 8 months old, and this year has been absolutely joyful- meeting so many wonderful children and their families.

I’m mummy to 2 daughters who are 5 & 3- both of whom are Jolly Melodies ‘graduates’- my oldest started Jolly Babies (in Wi******er) when she was 6 weeks old, and we completed the whole programme of Jolly Babies, Jolly Toddlers, and Jolly Independent- right through until she started school. It was- by far- my favourite weekly activity. My youngest started tagging along at Jolly Toddlers as a 3 week old baby (we love baby siblings in class!) and we fell in love with the original songs (not just the same old nursery rhymes on repeat!) the warm and nurturing environment, and the programme that constantly changes with new educational themes each half-term- no session is the same! I’m passionate about bringing this wonderful educational music programme to families in Romsey and the surrounding area, and I am having SO much fun doing it!! 🥁🪇

In my previous life (pre-kids!) I spent several years managing a full programme of fun and educational children’s activities for holiday clients sailing the Mediterranean ⛵️ so I’m no stranger to organised chaos, and I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, encouraging and super-fun environment for you and your little ones.

When you come to my classes, you’re not just a number in a generic session. I plan each and every session with the individual children on my register in mind- the songs and activities I know your child loves, their age and stage of development, and their own little personalities.

So if you’re looking for a class that supports your little one’s confidence, development, and love of music from the very start… I’d absolutely love to welcome you 💫
