Using a whiteboard and colourful pens is a great way to engage learners with being able to edit mistakes, identify word classes to create expanded noun phrases and especially when being ‘the teacher’!
Spelling Frame is a great resource to support spelling progress as well as refining your digital bowling 🎳 skills 😆

We are always so busy that I sometimes forget to capture the amazing efforts of my wonderful tutees.
Colourful spelling is a recent favourite, whether it’s tricky words or spelling rules using syllables.
They also enjoying a range of different texts from my little library; both in sessions and at home.
Reading is so important and I love to share different texts and recommendations with them to continue to foster a love of reading ☺️

A busy first two weeks of 2024 with lots of great progress and effort from my lovely tutees.
The current favourite activity is a times tables game that I’m very good at losing 😆 much to my tutees’ delights!
There has been: decoding, reading, spelling, writing, planning, discussing, problem solving and drawing along with lots of fun! ☺️
