Our next key topic is Prime factorisation for LCM and HCF.

To start I would always suggest reading through Types of Numbers to ensure you have stable foundations.

The first video explains how to draw a factor tree to work out the prime factors that make up any integer. Then we learn how to use prime factors to calculate the highest common factor (HFC) and lowest common multiple (LCM), between two numbers.

The second video shows us how to draw up a venn diagram which is a more effective way to find the HCF and LCM when dealing with larger numbers.
