Construction Site Visit

Our Year 8 and 9 students had the opportunity to visit the construction site and meet with the Site Manager Matt to learn more about the project’s development.

During the visit, students explored the progress made so far, discussed the work that has already been completed, and gained insight into the next stages of construction. They also learned about the challenges involved in delivering a project of this scale and the teamwork required to keep everything on track.

It was a valuable experience that provided a real-world understanding of the construction industry and the journey from planning to completion.

A Taste of Memories!

Some of the students who are leaving us this year were challenged to recreate their favourite school memory using cake, biscuits or bread – and the results were fantastic!

One maths-loving student created an impressive calculator cake, celebrating their passion for numbers.
Another student crafted a locker full of rulers, inspired by the memorable (and slightly mischievous!) time they secretly hid all the rulers from secondary school in their locker.
A third student designed a wonderful canoe cake, reflecting their enjoyment of canoeing as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award adventures.

These creative bakes captured some wonderful memories and showed just how unique each student's journey has been. We wish all our leavers the very best for the future and thank them for sharing these special moments with us.

Crime Scene Investigation at School!

Windsor and Turing Class had a very exciting visit from Cheshire Police. The officers set up a crime scene investigation, giving our pupils the chance to become detectives for the day. The children carefully examined the scene, looked for clues, gathered evidence, and worked together to solve the mystery. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that helped develop their observation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while learning about the important work carried out by the police.

A huge thank you to Cheshire Police for taking the time to visit and create such an engaging and memorable experience for our pupils.

Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Success!

We're incredibly proud of ten of our students who recently completed their Duke of Edinburgh expedition in Llangollen. With five Bronze and five Silver participants taking part, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves and develop valuable life skills.

Throughout the expedition, students demonstrated excellent navigation, teamwork, cooking and independence skills, while showing great resilience in overcoming challenges along the way. They supported one another every step of the journey and worked together brilliantly as a team. Although the weather wasn't always on our side, spirits remained high and everyone embraced the experience with positivity and determination. The breathtaking Welsh scenery provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable adventure.

Filled with learning, laughter, teamwork and great company, this was a truly memorable experience and one that all of the students should be extremely proud of.

A Fantastic Day at the Cheshire Show

Our students had a wonderful time visiting the Cheshire Show, enjoying a day packed with exciting activities, demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities.

From meeting farm animals and exploring agricultural exhibits to watching impressive displays and discovering local businesses, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The visit provided a great opportunity for students to learn more about the countryside, farming, food production and the many careers connected to the rural economy.

It was fantastic to see our students so engaged, asking thoughtful questions and making the most of this memorable experience outside the classroom.

Students Visit Siemens in Congleton

Our students recently enjoyed an exciting visit to Siemens in Congleton, where they had the opportunity to explore one of the world's leading engineering and technology companies.

During the visit, students gained a valuable insight into how innovative products are designed and manufactured, seeing first-hand the technology and processes involved in creating products used around the world. They also learned about the wide range of career opportunities available across engineering, technology and business.
The experience provided a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications, while inspiring students to consider future pathways in STEM and beyond.

A huge thank you to the team at Siemens for their warm welcome and for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students. We are incredibly grateful for this inspiring and informative experience.
