If you are at the Kent County Show, feel free to pop along to the large marquee in the Heritage Quarter, by the wooden Helter Skelter and vintage Cars and steam engines and say hi to some of our members.

Both Medway Fossil and Mineral Society (MFMS) and Kent Geology Group (KGG) are there with some lovely exhibits and displays. You can even look through a microscope at a thin section of rock and see what it is made up from. Plus we have a UV torch and a dark box for you to view some minerals, in a different way 👍🏻

Our members love being asked questions, so feel free to challenge them 👍🏻

Medway Fossil and Mineral Society are at the Kent County Show from today, through to Sunday afternoon. There will be a display of some wonderful fossils and minerals, so feel free to drop by and take a look 👀

Come and say hello to our members and feel free to bring any fossils/minerals for identification or just to be proud showing them.

Kent Geology Group are also there.

Both groups can be found in the large marquee over near gate 4 (near the tall wooden helter skelter)

Wednesday 3rd June

The group had a talk by our member Brian about the Geology of Cornwall and his recent visit there with Geo Supplies.

It was a great talk which prompted some questions after, followed by having a closer look at the specimens that he brought along.

NEXT Week: Is bring along geological specimens from the North West of England, Scotland and wales.

Only a few weekly Wednesday meetings, until we break for the summer and resume again in September 👍🏻
