Hi everyone 👋
I have been very quiet on my page lately but all of the tuition fun still continues behind the scenes. Photos to come very soon 😆
I have had some new followers recently so I just wanted to introduce myself again.
I’m Sarah. Mum to two beautiful girls, one who very recently became a teenager!!!! I can’t believe I’m a teenager Mum now 😂
I have worked in childcare and education for my whole career becoming a qualified teacher in 2010.
The education system was always tricky for me, first as a super sensitive child and then as an educator. It never really aligned with my beliefs and values. The system puts ever such a lot of emphasis on scores and test results, whereas I believe in the importance of nurturing each child individually, following their passions, working with their strengths and connecting with them in a way that helps them to believe they can achieve everything they wish to and more.
When the standard system then didn’t go well for my own children, this further verified everything I felt about the importance of connecting with children, co-regulating with them and helping them to feel safe and secure before anything else. This is always my priority and once we achieve that feeling of safety, connection and belonging, then we can achieve so much learning and development.
It was then that Sarah’s Safe Learning Space began (named by my youngest who suffered school burnout at a very young age). I feel so very blessed to get to work with many fabulous families on their home education journey.
Thank you for being here and please do get in touch if you would like to know more or have any questions.
Warm wishes as always,
Sarah 🧡
