πŸŒπŸ“ Banana & Strawberry Loaf! πŸ“πŸŒ

Yesterday, we had lots of fun making our very own banana and strawberry loaf! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

The children enjoyed getting involved in every step of the process, from measuring and mixing ingredients to chopping strawberries and mashing the bananas. πŸ₯£πŸŒπŸ“

These hands-on experiences are a wonderful way to support the children’s development. They were developing their fine motor skills through mashing, mixing and chopping, while also building their mathematical skills as they explored measuring and quantities. We also encouraged language and communication, introducing new words and talking about the different ingredients, textures and processes.

Working together also supported social skills, turn-taking and teamwork, while giving the children the opportunity to build confidence and independence. 🌟

And, of course, the best part… we all got to try our delicious creation at tea time! πŸ˜‹πŸ° The children were very proud of what they had made!

What a lovely way to learn through play, exploration and a little bit of baking! ❀️

Today the babies have had a very busy day visiting lots of places! This morning, the children had the opportunity to visit the shops including the charity and toy shops to gather some new toys and resources. The babies chose some new toys and books to bring back to nursery!

Next the children visted Aldi supermarket to buy some food to have a picnic this afternoon. The children were given the choice of what fruit they would like and what filling they wanted in their bread rolls. The babies chose strawberries as their fruit and ham for their bread roll filling. Yummy! πŸ“

In the afternoon the babies went to visit the park! They went on the large equipment such as the slides and swings. The children also had a kick about with a football! ⚽️ Once they had finished their visit to the park, we had a lovely picnic for their tea! The children and staff sat together whilst they were eating.πŸ™‚ The babies have had a very fun day!πŸ˜ƒ
