Smilers Christmas Appeal!! 🎅🏻 🎄

It’s back and as most of you know we support our local charity The Medway Street Angels for the 4th year!

They are a local charity who support the homeless and vulnerable and we personally know some of the support workers - so we know that our donations are going exactly where they are needed ❤️

This year we are introducing our new ‘Socks & Chocs’ challenge!
If you donate a pair of socks and a chocolate bar - Smilers will match this donation with a pair of gloves and a hot chocolate sachet 🍫

Please feel free to bring your donations direct into the nursery and thank you in advance for your support! 😁

🎃 Halloween Pictures – Using a variety of materials encouraged babies to explore textures and make choices while developing their fine motor skills and creativity through Expressive Arts and Design

🚀 Space Discovery Table – Our space-themed exploration encouraged curiosity, investigation and early understanding of the world around them, supporting Understanding the World

🎨 Finger Painting – Babies explored paint using their hands and fingers, discovering colours, marks and textures while developing hand-eye coordination, creativity and sensory awareness

🍁 Autumn Sensory Table – Exploring seasonal colours, textures and natural materials provided opportunities for babies to investigate using their senses, supporting Understanding the World and early communication

Throughout the week, the Aunties have supported Communication and Language by introducing new words, responding to babies’ sounds and gestures, and talking about what they were seeing, touching and experiencing. 💛

As most of us are mums ourselves - we understand the ‘lunch box fog’!
Here are some healthy new lunch box ideas!

We have healthy snacks mid morning and mid afternoon - so their lunch doesn’t need to be a full on buffet 😁
