💙🦋 TALK TO US TUESDAY: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION! 🦋💙

Sometimes, the results of hard work speak for themselves… and these side-by-side photos from our Stretch & Flex class are a perfect example! ✨

But progress isn’t just about what you can see in a photograph. It’s about understanding your body, developing strength and control, building flexibility safely, and learning how to get the very best out of yourself.

At The Performance Hub, we’re passionate about technique that gives our dancers the foundations they need for longevity. We don’t believe in rushing the process or expecting every dancer to progress at the same pace. We believe in putting in the hard work, understanding the why behind what we do, and celebrating every step forward.

Progression, not perfection. 💙

Every dancer has their own journey, and our job is to give them the knowledge, guidance and tools to keep growing. Not just for today, but for the years ahead.

Want to see what makes our training different and how we can help your dancer develop? Come and see what we’re all about! 🦋

📩 Message us to find out more or book a trial.

🗣️💙 TALK TO US TUESDAY: DANCE ISN’T JUST ABOUT DANCING🦋

Of course we want our Hubettes to learn to dance.

We want them to develop beautiful technique, musicality, performance skills and a love for what they do.

But watch a child in a dance class and you’ll see so much more happening.

You’ll see them learning to listen, to their teacher, to the music and to the people around them.

You’ll see them learning discipline, turning up, trying again, remembering corrections and sticking with something even when it feels difficult.

You’ll see teamwork, learning formations, sharing space, supporting the person beside them and understanding that what they do affects the whole group.

You’ll see confidence growing, not because every step is perfect, but because they discover they can stand up, have a go, make a mistake and try again.

You’ll see resilience.
You’ll see creativity.
You’ll see friendships being built.

And sometimes, you’ll see a child who barely said a word when they first walked through our doors suddenly standing at the front of a room performing with a huge smile on their face. 🥹

That’s why we believe performing arts are so powerful.

The dance is important.

But the person they become along the way is even more important. 💙🦋

So when your child comes home and tells you they spent an hour dancing…

Just remember, they probably learnt an awful lot more than that.

🩰✨ FANTASTIC FRIDAY… AND WHAT BETTER DAY TO ANNOUNCE THIS?! ✨🩰

It’s WORLD BALLET DAY today, and what a wonderfully fitting day to share some very exciting news about the future of The Performance Hub! 💙🦋

THE PERFORMANCE HUB IS HEADING TO THE CENTRAL THEATRE! 🎭✨
📅 Saturday 22nd May 2027
📍 The Central Theatre, Chatham

This will be our first ever dance school show completely on our own, in our very own local theatre, and honestly, this feels BIG.

The Central Theatre is such a beautiful, historic building, right here in Chatham, and we feel incredibly lucky to be taking our Hubettes onto that stage.

And behind the scenes, Miss Carys is already hard at work writing our very own Performance Hub show, created especially around our children and their classes, so that every single Hubette gets their moment to shine. 💙

From those very first ballet steps to our senior dancers, this is about celebrating all of our children, every genre and everything that makes our school what it is. 🩰🦋

And because this is going to take a LOT of preparation, there is one little heads-up for anyone thinking about joining us…

Our doors will be closing to new starters in February while we get everything ready for the show.

So if you’ve been thinking about joining The Performance Hub, now is the time! 💙

We’ll share a much bigger post about this very soon, but for now…

SAVE THE DATE — 22ND MAY 2027! 🎭🩰

What a journey we are on. And what a day to announce the next chapter. 💙🦋

Happy World Ballet Day, Hub family! 🩰✨

🎤💙 WELCOME WEDNESDAY… TO OUR FABULOUS SINGING TEACHER, MISS LAUREN! 🦋✨

If your child loves to sing, dreams of Musical Theatre, wants to build their confidence or simply fancies developing their voice, Miss Lauren is the one! 🎶

Lauren trained at ArtsEd on the Foundation course before going on to study at The MTA (The Musical Theatre Academy), where she gained her Diploma.

She then went on to work professionally in theatre, with credits including:
🎭 Disney Cruise Line — Mainstage Swing
🌱 The Little Shop of Horrors — London Fringe
🍎 The Apple Tree — London Fringe
🎶 The Great British Musicals Concert with Alfie Boe — Criterion Theatre
🌊 The Wave — International Tour
⚡ Paris Thunder — Charing Cross Theatre
📺 BBC One’s Pitch Battle, including a live performance on The One Show.

Lauren has also worked on numerous new musicals in development and cast recordings, before moving into a career working solely as a vocalist, something she continues to do today.

And what a career that has been! 🎤

She has performed at Wembley Stadium, The Empire Casino in Leicester Square, Westminster Park Plaza, Kew Gardens, The Pheasantry on Kings Road, live on GB News, as well as at hundreds of weddings and private events across the country.

But one of the things Lauren loves most is teaching and sharing her passion for singing, particularly Musical Theatre. 💙

At The Performance Hub, Lauren offers one-to-one singing lessons, giving each student dedicated time and individual attention to work on their voice, technique, confidence, performance skills and whatever they personally want to develop.

Whether they’re preparing for an audition, working towards a performance, building confidence or simply LOVE to sing… these lessons are completely about them. 🦋

So if you’ve got a budding performer at home who is constantly singing, performing musicals in the living room or dreaming of stepping onto a stage…

📩 Message us to enquire about one-to-one singing lessons with Miss Lauren.

We are SO lucky to have you as part of our Hub family, Miss Lauren! 💙🦋

💙🦋 TALK TO US TUESDAY: PROGRESSION, NOT PERFECTION. 🦋💙

This term, we’re not chasing perfection.
We’re chasing progress. ✨

Because every dancer develops differently. Every child has a different body, different strengths, different coordination, different experiences and, importantly, a different timeline.

Two children can be exactly the same age and still develop a skill at completely different times, and that is absolutely okay.

This is why technique matters so much. 🩰

We don’t want to rush our dancers into tricks just because someone else can already do them. We want to build the foundations properly. Strength. Control. Coordination. Musicality. Understanding. Confidence.

Then, when the body and mind are ready, those skills have something solid to grow from.
And never underestimate what your body can learn with the right guidance, patience and practice. ✨

Our teachers have spent years training, learning, practising and developing their own skills, and now they get to pass that knowledge on to our Hubettes.

So this term, let’s:
💙 Build our technique
🦋 Celebrate our progress
💙 Try things that challenge us
🦋 Encourage the person beside us
💙 Make new friendships
🦋 Nurture the laughter
💙 And build a community of young performers who love what they do.

Because there is no perfect timeline.
There is only your journey.

And we can’t wait to see where yours takes you this term. 💙🦋

✨💙 FABULOUS FRIDAY POST 💙✨

Holly has only gone and done it again! Second year. Same panto company. She’s back! 🎭

Our gorgeous Holly has been cast in Cinderella with Wicked Productions in Tonbridge for the second year running!👠✨

And honestly… how incredible is that?!
To audition, be chosen, perform, learn from the experience and then be invited back for another year is such a brilliant achievement. Holly has worked so hard, continued to grow as a performer and is heading back to the panto stage once again and we could not be prouder of her! 🥹💙🦋

There is something so special about watching our Hubettes take the confidence and skills they build in the studio and turn them into real performing opportunities out in the professional world.

And Holly… WE ARE SO, SO PROUD OF YOU! 💙

We cannot wait to see you back on that stage 🎭✨

📅 Check out Holly’s performance dates on the picture above and go and give her the biggest cheer!

Who doesn’t love a bit of panto?! 👠🎭✨

Go Holly! We absolutely cannot wait! 💙🦋

💙🦋 WELCOME WEDNESDAY 🦋💙

AND THIS ONE IS A VERY SPECIAL ONE!

Today we are saying a huge HELLO and congratulations to our gorgeous Miss Emma, who has officially stepped into her new role as Head of Juniors! 🎉✨

We are SO excited to see this next chapter unfold and to watch our junior school continue to grow, develop and thrive under Emma’s care. 💙

Emma joined The Performance Hub with an incredible wealth of training and experience behind her.

🎭 In 2022, Emma graduated from London Studio Centre with a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance, following an intensive professional training in dance and performance.

✨ During her third year, she joined the Seedtime Musical Theatre Company, performing a variety of roles, alongside performing in pantomimes while completing her training.

But since leaving college, Emma discovered another passion that we absolutely LOVE having at the Hub…

Teaching. 🦋

Emma has continued to develop her skills as an educator and has recently completed her Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Modern Theatre, adding even more knowledge and experience to the wonderful teacher she already is.
And now… Head of Juniors! 💙

We know Emma is going to bring so much energy, creativity, care and experience to our younger Hubettes, and we are incredibly excited to see the junior school flourish under her leadership.
Because our juniors aren’t just the next generation of dancers…

They’re the future of The Performance Hub. 🦋

So, please join us in giving our gorgeous Miss Emma the biggest Hub welcome and a huge congratulations on her promotion! 🎉💙

We’re so lucky to have you, Emma. Here’s to the next chapter! 🦋✨

😂💙 When the senior girls find the Baby Ballet parachute…

Obviously, the only sensible thing to do is get underneath it and have a play! 😂🦋

Because at The Performance Hub, we believe there should always be room for fun.

Yes, we train hard. We work on technique, we push ourselves, we learn, we practise and we keep trying to get better.
But we play hard too. 💙

Our Hubettes have built something really special here. They look out for each other, check in with each other, celebrate each other and genuinely care about the people around them.

And it’s not just the children. Our teachers check in with each other, our children check in with each other and, every working day, there’s someone asking, “Are you okay?”

Because we’re not just a place you come to dance.
We’re a dance family. 🦋

A place where you can work incredibly hard and then spend your break hiding under a giant parachute because… well… why not?! 😂

Train hard. Play harder. Look after your people. 💙🦋

That’s our Hub. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
