Safer sleep isn't just guidance. It's a vital part of safeguarding every baby in your care.

With updated safer sleep requirements becoming formally inspectable by Ofsted from September 2026, now is the time to review your setting's sleep practices.

Key reminders:
⭐ Always place babies on their backs to sleep
⭐ Use a firm, flat sleep surface with appropriate bedding
⭐ Never use sleep pods, sofas or car seats as sleep spaces

Naomi is one of Parenta's lead development coaches, working closely with apprentices as they build their careers in early years. She sees the same pattern time and again: learners arrive nervous and unsure, then grow into confident, capable practitioners.

What keeps Naomi passionate about her role is watching that progress unfold, from Level 2 or 3 right through to Level 5, and celebrating every milestone along the way. She describes herself as her learners' biggest cheerleader, and it shows in the results she helps them achieve.
