After years as a tradesperson, working hard and carrying the usual wear and tear that comes with physical work, our founder found relief not through rest, but through reformer pilates. It was a game-changer — easing old injuries, strengthening where it mattered, and offering a kind of movement that felt

both powerful and restorative. So began the idea for mend. — a place to share that same healing, strengthening experience with others. Now opening in the Intra part of the High Street, Mend is here to offer expert-led classes for everyone — from the Pilates-curious to seasoned movers. “I had the most wonderful experience at the Mend reformer Pilates studio recently. I had heard a lot about reformer Pilates but never been to a class so I was very happy to be lucky enough to join my daughter for reformer and tower classes last weekend.
The studio is modern, air condition with state of the art equipment. My two instructors Harriet and Ru, were both experienced, knowledgeable and coached and encouraged me to use the equipment to maximise the benefits. I had a great time and felt amazing afterwards. If you’re constantly battling niggles, feel like you “plod” rather than spring, or simply want to run more efficiently, this course is for you.

Over six weeks we’ll focus on the foundations that every runner needs:
