💜 Meet Stephen.
💜 Stephen is running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October to support Abigail’s Footsteps in memory of Reeva.
💜 Stephen said “On the 28th November 2021, our beautiful Princess REEVA was born! Her mother, Naomi who I see as my sister, is someone that I have grown up with, and we are one big happy family. She was such a gift to our family and friends! But sadly, a couple of days later, she joined the angels in the sky and now she is dancing in the clouds.”
💜 Stephen explains why he is taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and said “Back in 2025, Naomi ran the same Half Marathon for ‘ABIGAIL’S’ in memory of ‘REEVA’ and now I would like to do the same, not only in memory of Our Princess, but also to run for all the mums out there who have gone through a similar experience. I also want to run for ‘Our Naomi’ to show her how much we love and support her and how proud we are of her!”

💜 Stephen finished by saying “I would love to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity to help others, make a difference and make my family proud, all in memory of Reeva.”

💜 Olivia is organising ‘A Day of Music For All Ages’ called “Florence Fest’ to raise funds and awareness for Abigail’s Footsteps in memory of her daughter, Florence.
💜 Olivia said “I had a happy and healthy pregnancy and was seen as low risk throughout. After my final midwife appointment, I went into spontaneous labour at home. When I arrived at the hospital with regular contractions, I was told my baby Florence was dead. She was 41 weeks and 2 days (I was due to be induced the next day).”
💜 Olivia is a professional musician and decided to arrange a one-day music festival in honour of Florence ahead of her first anniversary and said “Florence is buried in a very special churchyard in Limpsfield, Surrey, where many important classical musicians of the twentieth century are buried. I don’t want the day to be a sad event. I am organising these concerts to fill the church with beautiful music in her honour, and to hopefully raise lots of money for Abigail’s Footsteps.”
💜 Olivia explained how she has been supported and said “Abigail’s Footsteps have personally helped me enormously by providing counselling sessions as I’ve been coming to terms with the greatest shock and grief of my life. I am so excited to announce Florence Fest: a one-day music festival in the beautiful village setting of St Peter’s Limpsfield, Surrey on Saturday 3rd October 2026. There will be two concerts: an informal 11am family concert suitable for babies and children under 11, and a more formal 5pm concert.”

💜 Rochelle is taking on another challenge this weekend, the London Summer Walk, in memory of her daughter, February, to raise funds and awareness for Abigail’s Footsteps.
💜 Rochelle said “On 23rd September 2020, our beautiful daughter, February, was born sleeping. Losing her changed my world forever. Nothing can ever prepare you for that kind of heartbreak, and navigating life after such a loss felt impossible at times.”
💜 Rochelle explained why she wanted to support Abigail’s Footsteps and said “Abigail's Footsteps is a charity incredibly close to my heart. Shortly after losing February, I was offered funded counselling sessions to help me work through my grief. I chose to continue beyond the funded sessions as it became such a vital part of my healing journey. With the incredible support of my counsellor, Naomi, I was able to begin processing my grief and find hope again. Those sessions were truly life changing, a safe space to talk, grieve, and start to rebuild. I am forever grateful to Abigail's Footsteps for being there when I needed it most, and for the work they continue to do for families like mine.”
💜 Rochelle finished by saying “This year, I'm walking 10km with my family, including my son, in honour of my daughter February and to raise funds for Abigail's Footsteps. Every step we take will be for her, and for all the babies who were taken too soon. Having my family beside me for this walk makes it even more meaningful, carrying February's memory together.”
For February, always. 🤍

💜 We are always incredibly grateful to our Abigail’s Footsteps volunteers who willingly give up their time to support our cause.
💜 Austen recently took part in the Medway Mile as our charity mascot, Abigail Bear and said "Abigail’s were there when we needed them so I’m glad I could be there for them when they needed me. Dressing up as Abigail Bear was hot but lots of fun.”
💜 Abigail's Footsteps Fundraising and Events Manager, Becky Hopkins said "We are sending a massive thank you to Austen, who joined us at the brilliant Medway Mile event for the mascot dash. The support we receive from members of the public at our events means a great deal to us and these events couldn't happen without people like you. Thank you for your time, your enthusiasm, and your commitment."

💜 Sophie and her family are fundraising to support Abigail’s Footsteps in memory of baby Sunny Rhys Dawson, born sleeping in March this year.
💜 Sophie wants to donate an Abi Cooling Cot and said “When Sunny was born our world changed forever. In the middle of such unimaginable grief, having the time to say goodbye using an Abi Cot, to hold him and to create precious memories meant everything to us.”
💜 Sunny’s Grandmother Sarah and Great Aunt Tiffany took on the Race to the Stones, a 100k/50k Ultramarathon to support the family’s fundraising.
💜 Sophie said “They were both amazing, it was a very emotional experience for everyone involved. An incredible achievement by both and I am so proud of them. It’s been a very overwhelming experience fundraising in all honesty, it has floored us how many people have donated. It has helped us feel closer to our Sunny as well. I'm hoping we can raise enough for another cot by the end of the year.”
💜 Sunny’s Auntie Gabrielle is also taking on a challenge and said “I am taking on the Swindon Half Marathon in memory of my nephew Sunny Dawson, who was born sleeping in March this year. Raising money for this charity can help families spend that extra time with their babies.”
💜 Sophie finished by saying “If you are able to help share awareness or donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to us and help to honour our little ray of sunshine.”
