Next Week on Friday 26th April at 10am-12pm, we shall be hosting our next coffee morning/drop-in. Medway Sendias have kindly agreed to come along and speak with our parents in this informal setting.
Pop along to meet the Small Steps or Sendias staff as well as other likeminded parents.
Free refreshments will be provided as always.

Medway Small Steps will be holding a ADHD Awareness Workshop for parent/carers, which is taking place on Wednesday 29th November, 10am-12pm at the Academy of Woodlands (Treetops cafe entrance).

In this workshop we will take a look at:

What is ADHD - terminology and definitions?

Indicators of ADHD?

Supportive strategies and resources

It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents on a similar journey and to share experiences and successful practices too. Tea and coffee will be provided on the day.

We are hosting a coffee morning at the Woodlands Children and Family hub on Tuesday the 12th December at 10am-12pm.
Join Sally, from Small Steps, who will have some picture supports with her for you to explore, and, will have a limited number free to give away.
Chat with Sally, or the other parents and carers in a supportive, friendly environment, get advice, signposting or just come along for the company.
We will be providing refreshments free of charge and hope to see you there.

Medway Council is consulting on its local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Services (SENDIASS) run by Family Action.

Medway SENDIASS provides a range of free and impartial help to parents/carers, children and young people with SEND more aware of the options available to them.

They would like to hear from young people and their families, and professionals who have accessed Medway SENDIASS advice or information, services or may have a view on how this could be provide in the future.

They will use this feedback to help define the new service that we require providers to deliver from April 2024.

This consultation will close at midnight 29th October 2023
