“Medway Green – Let’s Get Match Ready!
We’re excited to share that on Wednesday 17th June 2026, we’ll be celebrating England’s first official World Cup match in school – England vs Croatia!

To mark this special occasion, we’re inviting all children to come to school wearing a football shirt of their choice. This could be:
• An England shirt
• A shirt from an English team
• Or the shirt of any country they love to support
If your child doesn’t have a football shirt, they are very welcome to join in by wearing England colours – red, white and blue. If learners do not wish to take part, they are welcome to wear normal school uniform.

As always, Health and Safety still applies please ensure children are dressed appropriately for a full day of learning and play, with suitable footwear for their usual school activities – Normal uniform for bottom wear.

There is no cost to take part — this is simply a fun opportunity to bring our school community together, celebrate sport, and enjoy a shared sense of team spirit and belonging. We hope as many children as possible will join in!

Miss Davison was super impressed with Equine sessions this week. Shoutout to HB for his great leading skills, and Jesse who really grew in confidence with Mumbles throughout the session. We have been on walks up the lanes on Tuesday which the ponies loved, and done lots of groundwork and games. The ducks have been massively involved as always, it’s been a great week all round!

Year 7 enjoyed learning about volcanoes today in Humanities, we recapped the 4 layers of the earth and what we knew about tectonic plates already. We considered the destruction volcanic eruptions cause such as Eyiafiallaiokull and Pompei. We used key vocabulary such as lava, magma, tectonic plate and ash to explain how a volcanic eruption occurs. We then had some fun erupting our own volcano using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar!

To celebrate and support No Pens Day, our students spent the day developing their English skills through speaking and listening activities. They used sensory language to describe sweets during a taste-testing activity, word games using magnetic letters, took part in hot seating, and practised giving and following verbal instructions while making hot chocolates. The students demonstrated excellent communication skills and had a fantastic time learning without putting pen to paper! ☕🍬✨

9J trained for their DofE expedition today at Leybourne Lakes. Using the orienteering map, they were able to orientate themselves and work out which way to go to search for the various letters around the park. They showed great resilience and stamina on the 4 mile walk and are raring to get to Yalding for their expedition!
