Welcome back to nursery and a big welcome to our new children . This term our theme is WILD , we will be learning about animals , wildlife , habitats , animal sounds and what they eat , trees , leaves , acorns , pinecones and conkers . As well as our letters , numbers , shapes and colours .

Since we came back from our break we have enjoyed doing activities with our summer theme. We have painted an ice castle (the children said it was cold and melty)
Made sand pictures
Decorated and designed an icelolly (the children chose the flavour they designed)
Played with a duck pond
Ate ice lollies at snack time (which they all sat nicely and ate )

We had a visitor from the tooth fairy (dental hygenist) today . She tought us how to brush our teeth , keeping them clean and about food and drink that is good or bad for our teeth . The tooth fairy bought her bear with her called Harvey and the children took it in turns to brush the big teeth with a giant toothbrush . All the children were engaged and asked alot of questions. Each child received a sticker and a certificate at the end . We then enjoyed dental activities for the rest of the day .
