In Preschool, the children have been learning about the different environments animals live in and exploring a variety of animal habitats. The children chose an animal that interested them and created their own habitat for it.

As they created their habitats, the children used descriptive language to explain their ideas, using words and phrases such as “rough,” “cold,” and “looks like a forest to go to sleep.”

In today’s Italian lesson with Mandy, the children have been learning about different types of clothing and their names in Italian. They practiced saying each item of clothing in both English and Italian, building their confidence speaking in Italian.

The children then created their own silhouettes and explored which items of clothing they would like their characters to wear.

In Little Lambs today, the children enjoyed an Incy Wincy Spider activity using a tuff tray with a web made from masking tape. They explored throwing pom-poms onto the web, developing their hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills. The children were very engaged and loved joining in as we sang Incy Wincy Spider together.

The Little Lambs enjoyed a drawing activity based on their interests. They explored making marks with pens, choosing different colours and attempting to say the colour names. The children followed simple actions such as “round” and “line”, developing their communication, listening and fine motor skills. They also showed curiosity by twisting and turning the pens as they explored how to use them.
