🎈 Bookworms Parties Little Bookworms is an interactive story telling class which brings books to life through Drama, taking your little ones on an imaginative sensory adventure exploring props, messy play and much more themed sensory fun. All activities are designed in accordance to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, to nurture your Little Bookworms development in the following areas:

Communication and language,
Physical development,
Personal, social and emotional development,
Literacy,
Mathematics,
Understanding the world,
Expressive Arts and design.

THE FACE OF SOMEONE WHO IS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT SENSORY PLAY! 😂🥣💜

This little Bookworm was having the BEST time exploring our sensory activity!

I love watching the children experience something for the first time, the curiosity, the concentration, the little faces when they discover something new… and sometimes the inevitable taste test! 😂

Our sensory play is always connected to our weekly story and gives little ones the opportunity to touch, squish, scoop, explore and get messy while they play.

There really is no “right” way to do it. 💜

Some little ones dive straight in, some prefer to watch first, and others take a little while to build up the confidence to explore.

And that’s absolutely okay. 🥰

It’s all part of the Little Bookworms experience. 📚🐛

DADS… WE LOVE HAVING YOU AT BOOKWORMS TOO! 🦒💜

There’s something so lovely about seeing dads getting stuck into our theatrical experiences and this little giraffe duo definitely understood the assignment! 😂🦒

At Little Bookworms, our grown-ups aren’t just there to watch. They’re encouraged to join in, become part of the story and make those special memories with their little ones. 🥰

And honestly… seeing a dad fully embrace the role is one of my favourite things! 😂💜

Because it’s not just about what the children experience, it’s about creating those lovely moments together.

🐦🪶 It might look like play… but there’s lots of learning going on! 🪶🐦

Our Little Bookworms were busy using scoops, cups and their hands to explore the bird seed this week. 🌾✨

Activities like this are a great way to develop fine motor skills, those little muscles in the hands and fingers that children need for so many everyday tasks. 🖐️

Scooping, pouring, picking up tiny pieces, transferring objects and using different tools all help children to develop:

🖐️ Hand and finger strength
👀 Hand-eye coordination
🤏 Pincer grip
🧠 Concentration and control
✏️ Skills needed later for things like holding a pencil, using scissors and doing up buttons

And the best bit? They don’t even realise they’re learning! 😂💜

For little ones, play really is the work. 📚✨

Our Glow Up & Get Spooky session is a one-of-a-kind, Halloween-themed UV sensory experience where little ones can squish, splash, and explore glowing, neon messy materials in a safe and exciting environment.

Designed for curious minds and busy hands, this spook-tacular session encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and sensory exploration, all under the magical (and slightly spooky) glow of UV lights!

Our Little Bookworms have been having SO much fun bringing this beautiful story to life! 📖🐟

There’s been plenty of squishy, messy sensory play to explore, with little hands scooping, pouring and getting stuck right into our under-the-sea world! 🌊💙

I love watching our stories come to life through play and seeing little imaginations take over. 🥹💕

And just look at this little Bookworm… 😍 I think someone was VERY happy to be surrounded by all that spaghetti! 😂

The Rainbow Fish is back for our Thursday Bookworms too! 🐠🌈
