Last Week our winning house "Ashworth Valley" enjoyed a tea party in the hall. Thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for putting on such tasty treats.

More Families May Now Be Eligible for Free School Meals
From September 2026, the Government is expanding eligibility for Free School Meals so that all children whose parents or carers receive Universal Credit will be entitled to receive a free school meal.
If you think your family may qualify visit: https://www.rochdale.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals to read more information and check your eligibility.
If you're currently receiving free school meals, you don't need to do anything. Your entitlement will be checked in July 2026 and you will be informed of any changes.
Together, we can ensure that every child has access to a healthy meal during the school day and that families receive the support they are entitled to.

Year 1 have been learning about plants and what they need to grow. They grew some broad beans half of them were given water half of them were not. They made predictions, observed the changes over time, and discovered just how important water is for healthy plant growth.

At the end of the Spring 1 term, some of the children were so excited about their plants that they asked if they could take them home to continue caring for them. We loved seeing their enthusiasm for learning continue beyond the classroom!

This week, we were delighted when one of our children, proudly brought in some amazing homegrown broad beans. These beans had started growing in our classroom before being cared for at home, showing what can happen with patience, care and the right conditions.

On Friday morning 3rd July at 8:00 the Rochdale AFC promotion trophy will be coming into school. Book onto Boost in the usual way.
