Today we made our own Worry Monsters. We used play dough as our base, and used different coloured wool and pipe cleaners to decorate our monsters. We all engaged wonderfully and expressed our creativity while developing our fine motor skills! Well done everybody!

The Toddlers had a fantastic time creating their own Elmer pictures inspired by our story of the week, Elmer the Elephant. This activity encouraged lots of conversation as we talked about the different colours on Elmer, and staff joined in by singing the rainbow song while they painted their lovely artworks.
After our painting activity we had a delightful tea party wearing our elephant ear headbands,

The children in the Nursery Room had a lovely time in their very own ice cream parlour, complete with shaving foam ice cream, colourful rice sprinkles, and cones. This activity provided a lovely opportunity to discuss their experiences at home, such as getting ice creams with family and concepts of hot and cold, while using tools to scoop. The shaving foam was fun to squish between their fingers, offering a sensory experience, and it also allowed for imaginative role play as they pretended the ice cream was real. The parlour was open all morning, allowing all the children in today a chance to play and explore as they pleased. Well done, everyone! 🍦🍨🍧
