⚔On Tuesday last week, Year 4 explored their Romans topic with Widget Workshops. Together they walked through colosseums in VR, tried on Roman armour, made mosaics and learnt Latin! It set them up perfectly for the learning and writing to come!

🗣On Friday, after democratic voting, Mrs. Brown approved a new School Council at St. Mary’s. The Council gathered and decided that their motto was ‘Persevering as a Platinum Council’, whilst their mission is to ‘protect everyone, be kind show our values’. The council already have some fantastic ideas to take the council in a new direction this year and, hopefully, achieve our Platinum council status.

Today, St Andrew's C.E. Primary School and Nursery hosted the annual Watergrove Wellbeing Summit, bringing together learners from across our family of schools for a day dedicated to connection, community, and personal growth.

Centred around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, the summit offered an energising mix of activities designed to help young people balance care for themselves with care for others. From mindful listening and quiet reflection to fast-paced team games that sparked collaboration and joy, the day highlighted how small everyday actions can create a stronger, more supportive community.

A true highlight of the day was seeing our learners take the lead, confidently guiding their peers through sessions alongside workshops hosted by colleagues. Beyond stepping out of their comfort zones to try new things, pupils forged warm connections and built new friendships across our Trust schools.

Thank you to everyone at St Andrew’s CE Primary for hosting such a vibrant event, and to all the staff and young leaders who made the day such a success.
