Toddlers and pre school joined to create marks on a large scale,
Children explored large-scale painting using cars, brushes, and their hands to make marks and patterns. They developed their gross and fine motor skills, experimented with colour and texture, expressed their ideas creatively, and worked collaboratively while building confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.

🦖 ROAR-some Dinosaur Fun! 🦖

Our little explorers had an amazing time creating dinosaur footprints, stomping like giant dinosaurs, and practising their biggest, loudest roars! 👣🦕 It was wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they explored, created, and played together.

Activities like these help children develop creativity, communication, physical coordination, and confidence through imaginative play.

EYFS Links:
🦖 Communication and Language – Using new vocabulary, making dinosaur sounds, and engaging in conversations during role play.
🦖 Physical Development – Stomping, balancing, and moving in different ways to strengthen gross motor skills.
🦖 Expressive Arts and Design – Exploring creativity through making dinosaur footprints and imaginative play.
🦖 Understanding the World – Learning about dinosaurs, their habitats, and comparing them with animals we know today.
🦖 Personal, Social and Emotional Development – Building confidence, taking turns, and enjoying shared experiences with friends.

🦒🐅🦓 Our little learners had a fantastic time creating their very own giraffe, tiger, and zebra animal patterns using tissue paper and glue sticks! 🎨✨

This fun, hands-on activity helped the children:
🌟 Learn and use new vocabulary such as giraffe, tiger, zebra, stripes, spots, and pattern.
🌟 Develop fine motor skills by controlling their glue sticks and carefully sticking the tissue paper in place.
🌟 Build creativity, concentration, and confidence while exploring different colours and textures.

Toddlers explored painting by wrapping foil over a cup to paint planet shapes. They showed curiosity as they selected colours, and talked about the "planets" they were creating. We developed fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity while experimenting with shape, colour, and texture.
Learning outcomes
Expressive Arts and Design: Creating with materials – explores colour, shape, and different techniques to represent ideas.
Physical Development: Develops fine motor control through gripping, pressing, and painting.
Communication and Language: Talks about their artwork and uses vocabulary related to space and planets.
