🎉 WE HAD OUR OFSTED INSPECTION! 🎉

We are absolutely thrilled to share the fantastic news from our recent Ofsted inspection on 25 August 2026!
Our wonderful team and amazing children truly shone. We are incredibly proud to announce that Laroche Day Care Nursery has officially achieved a Strong Standard for children’s welfare and wellbeing, alongside meeting the Expected Standard across all other inspected areas! 🌟 We also fully met all safeguarding requirements, keeping our commitment to your children's safety at the heart of everything we do.

Here are a few lovely highlights from what the inspector noted about our nursery:

✨ Children feel completely safe, happy, secure, and settled in our welcoming, homely environment.

✨ Our staff display an excellent understanding of our children and their families, ensuring individual routines and preferences are expertly met.

✨ Partnership with our parents and carers is recognized as a key strength.

✨ Children show a real thirst for learning, confidence, and great social skills.

A massive thank you to our long-standing, dedicated leadership and staff team who work tirelessly every single day, and of course, a huge thank you to all of our families for your continued support and partnership. We couldn't do it without you!

Rochdale has 3 designated early years home learning workers who are out in the borough delivering the REAL project to families across Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Pennine

The feedback from the families who have taken part has been fantastic, they have really valued the support and have gained so many ideas of activities they can do with their children

This lovely short video really captures the project and shows the benefits of taking part. The programme is available to any families with children aged 3 and 4 (or those turning 3 this term)

Targeting those who are struggling with language and communication and/or literacy skills. The families will receive 4 home visits and be invited to 2 literacy events.

Dear Parents/Carers

As you are aware of the article in the news recently relating to a large milk processor and some major retailers trialling the product called Bovaer, which is a supplement that is fed to cows with the intent of supressing their methane emissions and reducing the environmental impact of cattle.



We would like to confirm that our supplier Cool Milk, and their suppliers are NOT taking part in this trial.
