To all of my GCSE students collecting your results tomorrow…

I just want you to know how incredibly proud I am of every single one of you. You’ve worked so hard, shown resilience, and kept going even when things felt impossible.

Remember: your results are important, but they do not define who you are. They are one snapshot in time, not the measure of your worth, your intelligence, or your future.

Whether you’re celebrating tomorrow or feeling disappointed, know that I’m here for you. We will celebrate every success and tackle every setback together. There is always a path forward.

Good luck tonight (if you can sleep!) and enjoy your moment tomorrow. You’ve earned it. ❤️

You’ve got this. I believe in every single one of you.

Cheers! 👍🏻

📚 TUTOR OUT OF OFFICE! 🚨😂

The books are closed.
The laptop is OFF.
The lesson plans can wait.
And quite frankly… I have no idea where my pen has gone. 😂

This weekend, I’m swapping my tutor desk for Gloworm Festival with my two little ones! 🌈🎪🎶

There’ll be dancing, dressing up, questionable festival food, approximately 847 snacks in my bag and at least one moment where I wonder why I thought taking two children to a festival was a good idea. 😂

But amongst the chaos, there’ll be lots of memories made — and that’s what weekends are for! ❤️

So if you message me this weekend and I don’t reply… I’m probably covered in glitter, carrying a tired child, looking for the toilets or attempting to convince the kids that we absolutely do NOT need another £17 piece of festival merchandise. 😂

Back to the world of phonics, fractions and GCSEs next week!

For now… tutor mum is OFF DUTY! ✌️🌈

☀️ Hello, August! ☀️

A brand-new month has just begun,
Filled with laughter, love, and sun.
Days to wander, splash, and play,
Making memories every day.

Chase the sunsets, build the sandcastles,
Enjoy the picnics, parks, and paddles.
Collect the giggles, hugs, and smiles,
They’re the moments that last for miles.

Take the photos, eat the ice cream,
Stay up a little later, follow every dream.
Read a book beneath a tree,
Or simply enjoy being together as a family.

Before the school bags return and routines begin again, let’s make the most of these precious summer days. Here’s to sunshine, adventures, and making August one to remember. 🌻🍉✨

Happy 1st of August, everyone! 💛

👋 HELLO… REMEMBER ME? 😂❤️

I’ve realised I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… apparently actually tutoring children, raising my own children and generally trying to remember where I’ve put my tea leaves very little time for social media 😂☕️

So I thought it was probably time for a little hello and get to know me post!

I’m Lisa 👋 — a fully qualified teacher, personal tutor and the face behind Lisa Jayne Personal Tutors ❤️

A few things about me…

📚 I tutor from Reception right through to GCSE
🎓 I’m a fully qualified teacher
📝 I’m an official GCSE examiner/marker — yes, I actually mark the papers we spend all year stressing about 😂
✅ I’m Quality Assured through Rochdale Council and fully insured
🏆 I was incredibly proud to be a Pride of Bury finalist

Now for the less official qualifications… 😂

☕️ I regularly make a tea and forget where I’ve put it
🖊️ I own approximately 638 pens but can never find one when I need it
📚 My diary is organised chaos… emphasis on the chaos
👩‍👧‍👦 I’m a mum, a wife and usually have about 47 things happening at once
😂 I will absolutely make up a ridiculous story, draw a questionable diagram or use Disney, Pokémon, dinosaurs and random objects to explain something if it helps a student understand!

My tutoring style isn’t sitting in silence doing worksheet after worksheet.

We talk. We laugh. We draw. We make mistakes. We try again.

And somewhere amongst all of that… learning happens ❤️📚

I’ve worked with children who love school, children who hate school, home-educated students, anxious learners and students who have completely lost confidence in themselves.

My biggest belief?

✨ Children learn best when they feel comfortable, understood and confident. ✨

So… hello again 👋❤️

If you’ve been here a while, tell me how you found my page! And if you’re new here… welcome to the chaos. 😆 ☕️ 📚

Lisa ❤️

As our Year 11 students finish their final exams and close this chapter of their educational journey, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of the students and families who have supported Lisa Jayne Personal Tutors this year.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a year, filled with hard work, determination, challenges, and achievements. Watching our students grow in confidence and work towards their goals has been an absolute privilege.

To our Year 11s – thank you for your commitment, resilience, and sense of humour throughout what can be a very stressful year. You have worked incredibly hard and should be proud of everything you’ve achieved. We wish you all the very best for Results Day and whatever exciting adventures come next.

While our tutoring sessions continue with many of our younger students throughout the year, this always feels like a special milestone and an opportunity to reflect on another fantastic GCSE season.

Thank you to every parent who trusted us, every student who turned up ready to learn, and everyone who has recommended, supported, and encouraged our small business along the way.

Now, let’s enjoy a slightly quieter few weeks before we do it all again next year! 📚✨

Good luck, Year 11s – we’ll be cheering you on all the way!

🌞 Hello June, the final stretch is here,
A month filled with sunshine, excitement and cheer.
GCSEs are underway, the finish line’s in sight,
After months of hard work, late nights and revision right.

You’ve tackled mock exams, homework and more,
Pushing through challenges you hadn’t faced before.
Now it’s time to trust yourself and all that you know,
Take each exam as it comes and let your confidence grow.

Remember, success isn’t measured by grades alone,
But by the resilience, determination and effort you’ve shown.
Whether you’re aiming for passes, top marks or a personal best,
Be proud of how far you’ve come and give yourself some rest.

Wishing all of our students the very best this June,
The summer holidays will be here soon! ☀️📚

Keep believing, keep achieving, and keep shining bright –
Your hard work today is building your future tomorrow’s light.

Taking a couple of days offline for some well-deserved family time in the middle of GCSE season. 💛 Even tutors need a little recharge too! Rest matters—for students and tutors alike. I’ll be back soon, refreshed and ready for the final exam push. 📚✨

Good luck to all my amazing students—you’re absolutely smashing it so far! 💪 Messages may be a little slower than usual while I’m away. X

One week into GCSEs from a tutor’s POV 😂📚☕️

One week into GCSEs and I’ve said “read the question carefully” approximately 4,762 times 🫠

My students before the exam:
✨ “I’m so ready.”

My students after the exam:
💀 “What even IS poetry?”

Power & Conflict revision:
Me: “Remember your context, structure and analysis!”
Student in the exam: “The poet uses enjambment because… vibes?” 😭

SATs children: skipping out with their little juice bottles like absolute icons 😎🧃
GCSE students: emerging like they’ve survived a minor war ☕️🫠

Me marking last-minute practice papers at 11pm while receiving messages like:
“If I compared Ozymandias to My Last Duchess because both have men in them, is that okay?” 💀

Current tutor essentials:
☕ caffeine
📚 emotional support highlighters
😭 fake optimism
🧠 praying they remember a quote longer than 3 words

Only several exams, 900 panic messages, and one full personality change left to go 💕✨

You’ve so got this guys!! ♥️

✨ As GCSE & SAT season begins… ✨

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to every student, parent, and family who has trusted me to be part of this journey.

Watching my students head into their GCSEs & SATs makes me unbelievably proud—not just because of the hard work, resilience, and growth I’ve seen in each of them, but because together we’ve built something really special.

What started as a little idea has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined—a thriving, quality-assured, highly recommended business built on trust, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed. That feels like a real proud moment for me too. 🤍

But none of this happens alone. It’s been a true team effort between me, my incredible students, and the wonderfully supportive parents behind them. Thank you for every lesson attended, every message, every bit of encouragement, and for believing in what I do.

To my students: you are so much more prepared than you think. Be proud of how far you’ve come, trust yourselves, and go show those exams what you’re made of. 🌟

Here’s to the next few weeks—we’ve got this 💪✨

May is here, the sun’s shining bright,
But exams are coming—so let’s get it right.

SATs are starting, GCSEs too,
A big month ahead—but you’ll get through.

Pens at the ready, minds switched on,
All of your hard work is what you’ll lean on.

Remember to rest, take a breath when you can,
You’ve already done more than you think in your plan.

Believe in yourself, you’re stronger than you know,
Step into May and give it a go 🌟

Wishing all my students the very best of luck—
You’ve got this, every single one of you 💪
