It is with a heavy heart that I share with you my decision to close my business ❤️
For almost 10 years, I have been so lucky and privileged to do something that I love and feel so passionate about and I will be forever grateful for this ❤️
I have been honoured to work with some absolutely fabulous learners and I will never forget their hard work, loyalty and dedication - everyone has been brilliant! Thank you! I realised very quickly that the classes were about so much more than just learning French - they were about friendship, shared experiences and community and it is this that brought the classes to life and kept them going for so long - the photos say it all (although I promise that we did work really hard too!) ❤️
I am also very thankful for all the support and encouragement from my family and friends who have always believed in me especially during my wobbles when I didn’t always believe in myself❤️
It’s been amazing and unforgettable but the time has come for me to take a step back, recharge and reroute ❤️
Je vous remercie de tout cœur et je vous en suis infiniment reconnaissante ❤️

Le verbe du vendredi 🥰

Le verbe du vendredi est « dormir »😴

Je ne dors pas très bien en ce moment mais Milo, lui, il dort toujours très bien ! Être si beau, c’est épuisant !😅

Friday’s verb is “ to sleep”😴

I’m not sleeping very well at the moment but Milo, he always sleeps very well! Being this handsome is exhausting! 😅

Un petit challenge: can you form ‘dormir’ in the Present Tense?

A quick 'reword' 🥰

I am sure that since you have been learning French, there has been a time when you have been right in the middle of speaking and suddenly you become stuck because the exact phrase you want just won’t come to mind 🙄It can so feel frustrating and often, the harder you search for the ‘right’ word, the more elusive it becomes 😕 This is when a quick ‘reword’ may help.

Ask yourself; how could I say this more simply in English? Once you’ve rephrased it in a simpler way in English, it often becomes much easier to express in French 🥳

It doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters most is keeping the conversation flowing and giving yourself the freedom to communicate. The more you practise this little shift, the more natural it will become and the easier it will be to do on the spot!

I’ve included a little example for you - next Tuesday, I'll show you how you can make this even easier by chunking 🥰

Le verbe du vendredi 🥰

Le verbe du vendredi est « profiter de »🌞

Hier, il faisait tellement beau que Milo a voulu profiter du soleil. Alors, j’ai travaillé dans le jardin pendant que lui, il a lézardé au soleil 🌞

Friday’s verb is “to make the most of / to enjoy”🌞

“Yesterday, the weather was so beautiful that Milo wanted to enjoy the sun. So, I worked in the garden while he basked in the sun!”🌞

Make Reading Active 🏃🏃🏽‍♀️

Reading isn’t just for comprehension– it’s a goldmine for improving speaking and writing!🌟

Once you have completed a reading activity, reread the passage and highlight useful phrases or sentence structures that you can use and adapt for your own work. This isn’t cheating – it’s modelling, which is such a great way to embed, as well as develop, vocabulary and structures🌟🥰

Last Monday, I shared feedback for the first time and then very soon after received another lovely testimonial. Last week, I was brave and now, I'm just showing off 🤣
I am only joking. Positive parent and learner feedback means so much to me and it is always such a wonderful boost and a great motivator - thank you 🥰
