A-Level English Trip to Newcastle! ππ
Just before we broke up for Easter our lovely English department went to Newcastle! Not only did they watch Rupert Goold's Hamlet, set aboard a ship, which they were (mostly) able to keep up with despite it not being one of their texts, but they also had another great experience in Newcastle too.
They went to the Lit and Phil which is a massive library (although that wasn't it's initial function). It's an absolutely incredible place with so much history and volunteers showed them around, also leaving the students time to explore and hunt for artefacts themselves. They even showed us into the Neville Hall next door which is the home of a renowned engineering society. If you get a change, they highly recommend visiting!!! π€
As ever, a huge thank you to our AWESOME staff and students, proud doesn't even cover it π
