What a fantastic summer we are having at MHV's Summer Holiday Club! Children have been enjoying extended time outdoors through forest school activities, exploring nature, foraging, gardening, and caring for our guinea pigs. Our Summer Holiday Club children have been making the most of the great outdoors!

From exploring the woods and grounds, to digging, planting, and picking vegetables and flowers from our garden, every day has been filled with adventure and discovery.

They have also been helping to care for our much-loved Guinea Pigs and Tortoise, learning valuable responsibility while having lots of fun in nature.

What a fantastic first week at the MHV Summer Holiday Club! We have made the most of the glorious sunshine with water play, outdoor games, and plenty of adventures exploring our beautiful grounds.

There have been lots of smiles, laughter, and underwater adventures along the way! We can't wait to see what exciting Space adventures next week brings!

A roarsome end to Year 4 at Chessington! What a great way to celebrate the end of Year 4!

Our Year 4s had an amazing day at Chessington, and with the park nice and quiet, everyone enjoyed plenty of rides throughout the day. We were especially proud of the children's bravery, so many challenged themselves, faced their fears and discovered they were capable of more than they thought!

Despite the warm weather, the children were outstanding, listening carefully to instructions and helping the day run smoothly and safely. With thrilling rides, incredible animals and a well-earned ice cream, it was the perfect end to a wonderful year together.

The Little Vines children were thrilled to share their end of year performance with their families, and what a show it was!

Performing There’s a Sunflower in My Supper, every child sang, acted, and danced with confidence and enthusiasm. Our Kindergarten children impressed with their lines and stage presence, while our youngest nursery children charmed the audience with their singing and dancing.

It was a joy to see them perform in front of such a wonderful audience, and we are so proud of how much each child has grown this year as they move on to their next adventure.

At MHV, we have an age-old tradition where every Year 8 leaver designs a shield that reflects their unique journey, achievements, and experiences with us. Two versions are created; one for pupils to keep, and one to be displayed in school.

Each shield tells the story of a former pupil and the part they’ve played in our school community. Over time, our school walls have become adorned with these personal tributes, so much so that returning alumni often enjoy the challenge of finding their own shield!

Since half term, Ollie has been hard at work designing and painting this year’s shields, helping to keep this valued tradition alive for our latest group of leavers. The next challenge is to find wall space for them all!

Year 5 made the most of our lovely grounds by camping out at school on Tuesday. From pitching tents and teamwork, to woodland games, campfire songs, skits and s’mores, the evening was full of fun and laughter.

After a lively night (and an early sunrise!), the children enjoyed more games before successfully striking camp in the heat, showing real resilience, cooperation and good humour throughout.
