Neurodivergent brains, particularly those with ADHD, have lower baseline dopamine levels and irregular processing, which creates the "dopamine chase". One of things I've supported my clients to do in our ADHD coaching sessions, is to think what their Dopamine Menu looks like - a list of activities they can call on to regulate their emotions, boost motivation or get them out of a state of task paralysis.
For me, it's definitely music - the louder the better!
