We've been pretty quiet on the page for the last couple of months, but we can't think of a better reason to pop out a post!

Super excited that the government are rolling out the new GCSE covering Natural History for 2027.

(About time too!!)

Yesterday we had a lovely session. We went on an adventure with Spud the snail, we got hands on with Shelly our African land snails and friends and we got crafty.

We all enjoyed being Snails this morning 🐌 whilst Dani Natural Education shared a story about Spud the snail.
Following the story, Dani introduced us to some other critter friends - Gemma Lambert Bright Buttons Childminding was so confident with these critters that I gladly let her lead the way - being such a positive, calm and confident role model for the children whilst I took up camera woman… from a distance 🤣
What a fab hands on experience for the children, who never cease to amaze us with their bravery and confidence.

We enjoyed another lovely visit to Ripon Library this morning. Providing an interactive session for their .

In this session we went on an adventure with Spud the snail, then met his friends.

The children and their grown ups got up close with our inverte-greats! https://naturaleducation.co.uk/meet-the-animals

They then got creative with our pretty butterflies and fancy snails.

The wonderful Natural Explorers Workshop returns to Ripon Library on Monday 19th April! 🐌

Natural Education will be joining Ripon Library once again this Under 5s Fortnight for an interactive workshop designed to help children experience biodiversity and the natural world in a fun and memorable way. Young explorers will have the chance to learn fascinating facts, including how animals breathe, through hands-on activities and even opportunities to watch, meet and hold some amazing invertebrates.

We've had a fantastic session this morning, learning about Animal Habitats and getting up close with our giant hooded katydid, black beauty stick insects, olive millipedes and our giant african land snails 🐌
