Talking to a four-year-old about climate change can feel like a big leap. But it doesn't have to involve melting ice caps or scary statistics.

At this age, children are natural scientists, curious, hands-on, and endlessly good at asking "why?". That curiosity is exactly what we need to nurture the next generation of environmental champions.

The good news is that Early Years and KS1 classrooms are already brilliantly set up for this kind of learning.

Securing the Fundamentals runs on PiXL's DTTR approach: Diagnose, Therapy, Testing, Revisit.

Teachers choose questions where they suspect a gap and students sit the assessment. The results show what's secure and what needs more work, and therapy resources are built in to close any gaps. Students are then retested, and the content comes back later in the year so it stays secure.

In 2000, Blockbuster laughed Netflix out of the room. That's the story most people think they know.

In episode 6 of PiXL Pearls Series 10, Rachel Johnson tells a messier version. There was no lightbulb moment, and the founders made it up as they went along.

Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph also cautions against title inflation, which means hiring the job title rather than the person. School leaders will recognise that. So will the Netflix principle behind it: treat people like adults, give them direction and trust them to find the way.
