A bit about us.
Hello!
We are mums who have required holiday childcare at times for our children. We have however struggled to find clubs that meet the needs and interests of our children. Every child is unique, and we believe providing a service to the local community which allows children to feel safe and be able to choose the activities they take part in is a service we can provide. We are a pack away setting and would like to provide children an inclusive environment that has a provision for play and home from home experience. For example, small world, dressing up, art area, a quiet corner for reading, Lego and singing and dancing. Alongside this daily provision we will provide activities that will support themes and specific annual events full of play and adventure.
We both have a variety of life experiences and are passionate about our roles and would like to deliver a programme that ensures each day is filled with opportunities to create unforgettable memories in a fun and active environment with opportunities to try new things!
My Name is Samantha, Sam for short! l have lived in Melmerby for 10 years. I live with my Husband and 2 children both girls are aged 10 and 8 years and 2 dogs and I have 4 stepchildren who have grown up and moved out. Alongside my husband Gary I run a building business.
December 2021, I took over the Youth group at Melmerby Village Hall and I run the club every Monday providing activities for children. I have developed strong skills in supporting young children and am genuinely passionate about providing the best childcare and play experiences.
I am Chair of PTA at my children's school, I have run a number of after school activities, clubs and charity events. I have provided support alongside teachers in numerous school activities and worked with children in forest school.
I am Zoe, I have lived in Sharow for 15 years with my husband and 4 children (3 are grown up but are yet to leave home!) We have four dogs and a duck.
Over the years I have supported children in school in a voluntary capacity before taking the plunge and changing career. In 2017 I qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator in a private nursery where I worked as Deputy manager and Special Education Needs and Disability Co-ordinator.
I loved my job but as I turned 40, I needed a new challenge which has led to me recently graduating with a degree in primary education with QTS. I will be working as a supply teacher for the next year while I continue to study for a Masters in Childhood and Education. I have a passion for education and would like to support the families in our community with holiday care.
We are DBS checked, Paediatric First Aid qualified to Ofsted regulations, Safeguarding and Child protection trained, Childrens Mental Health Champions with Place2Be, Level 3 EYE qualified, BA (Hons) Primary Education and fully insured.
