Well that’s it for another exam series - 16 students from a range of abilities and schools have now sat all their English GCSE papers.
Just love getting feedback straight after exams… Very proud of all of them.

It’s been a busy weekend ensuring all my lovely year 11 students are fully prepared for tomorrow’s English literature paper.

Thinking of all year 11s around the country. Deep breaths, read the question for each essay carefully, focus on the question, plan before writing and stick to timings.

A year ago I took the leap of faith to leave the safety net of the classroom and start my own business. A year down the line, I have been totally overwhelmed by the response I have had. I have been busier than I ever imagined but also have had time to focus on my family, health, reconnect with friends and rediscover what I truly love about teaching English.
I would like to thank everyone who has trusted me with their children, recommended me to their friends and posted my details on their local FB groups.

I have learned a lot about the unregulated tutoring industry - there are some cowboy agencies out there. If you are a parent and your child needs extra support- do your homework. As in most aspects of life, you get what you pay for.

The next few weeks are going to busy with the final push towards GCSEs but in the summer term I will sadly say godbye to my wonderful year 11 students and will be opening my slots from my waiting list and adding new students.
