Joy in January 💜
January can be a difficult month for many.
As you may of noticed I've been absent from this page, (admittedly) I'm the worst at social media anyway🙈
.but i do enjoy a few fun and hopefully informative posts..
I sadly lost my heart horse Ulysses🦄 very suddenly in October 2024 he was 31yrs and had been my pride and joy for 26yrs..
I am so fortunate to have a wonderful supportive family and and an amazingly supportive pilates community surrounding me and I cannot thank them enough.❤
I have no desire for News years resolutions.
. but do find the need to seek joy each day.
Its the small things, like keeping my morning walk, whatever the weather, the fresh air and walking just lifts my spirit.
Pilates and in particular being with my wonderful clients can bring great joy 🤗
Movement can bring such happiness and sence of well-being.
Whatever brings you joy, make sure to bring that into your day🥰

Everytime I hear that Pilates is about the "core" my heart skips a beat and I get nervous. Pilates is about working the body, the whole thing, from the feet to the head. In general what I normally see around the world is a super low consideration about working feet and legs. The feet are our roots (I already describes their importance in another post) but LEGS... We need strong legs to stand and to support the trunk while lifting/moving things. During those movements, strong legs will help (together with abs) to save your back... that's why STRONG LEGS = HAPPY BACK !!!
