Summer Fayre at Ringwood Waldorf School

Join us for a beautiful celebration of summer at our much-loved Summer Fayre at Ringwood Waldorf School, taking place on Saturday 20 June 11am – 4pm.

Set in the peaceful, green grounds of our school, this is a day for the whole family to enjoy, a chance to slow down, connect, and experience the warmth of our community. There will be a craft market, holistic therapies, and a delicious selection of freshly made lunches, BBQ, and homemade cakes, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

Children can delight in a range of activities, including flower crown making, crafts, riding the carousel, and exploring the fairy garden, while everyone can enjoy live music and take part in our raffle.

One of the most significant moments in our Upper School year is fast approaching.

At Ringwood Waldorf School, our Class 12 students undertake an extraordinary journey: a self-directed project that reflects their interests, challenges their thinking, and calls upon their independence, creativity, and dedication. From academic research to practical exploration, each project represents months of deep, personal work.

We warmly invite our community to join us for the Class 12 Project Presentations — a special opportunity to witness these young people step forward and share their learning with confidence and purpose.

Spend time in classrooms, meet our teachers, parents and pupils, and enjoy a guided tour of the school. From Kindergarten through to Upper School, you’ll gain a real sense of the journey we offer — one that nurtures creativity, curiosity and a genuine love of learning.

There will also be opportunities to view student work and hear more about our educational approach in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Ash Tree Parent and Child Group is where many children take their first steps into life at Ringwood Waldorf School. Families with children aged 0–4 come together for a quiet, steady rhythm of play, bread baking, crafts, songs, a story and a shared snack. Children explore open-ended toys, discover awe and wonder in simple things, and settle into a warm, unhurried space that offers a gentle glimpse of the kindergarten morning. Our indoor morning groups run Monday to Thursday, 10am–12pm, with two afternoon groups on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1.10–3.10pm. On Fridays, 9.30–11.30am, our Forest Walk Group follows the Castleman Trailway to the school’s Eco Garden, spending the morning outdoors and noticing the changing seasons. Last week our Kindergarten and Parent & Child families gathered for our Martinmas Lantern Walk, a long-standing tradition that gently leads us toward Advent and into winter. It is one of those festivals that holds a special place in our school community, and it feels ever more important to keep traditions like this alive. As dusk settled over the Kindergarten garden, families arrived and collected their handmade lanterns, each one symbolising the light we carry within us through the darkest days of the year. We walked through the school field and out into the eco garden, and as we went we could see a long line of lanterns glowing together. The story of Saint Martin, whose compassion and generosity shone so brightly, rests at the heart of this walk. We concluded the evening on the school field, singing lantern songs around the fire and sharing bread. The act of breaking and sharing the bread echoes Saint Martin tearing his cloak to help someone in need, a gentle reminder of the kindness that this festival celebrates. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this special walk.
