Hi Everyone,

From Monday 2nd November I will be back open fully again 🎉

We are rescheduling our evening lessons to a Monday/Tuesday evening,
If anyone is interested in an after school group lesson please get in touch, I have a maximum of 4 in each group so the riders still get a quality lesson and progress, pupils will always be put with riders of similar standard, our evening group lessons are indoors so are never affected by weather or daylight.

We have our Halloween party 10am - 2pm on Saturday 31st October, all rider abilities are welcome even if you’ve never ridden with us before.

Anyone that has been waiting to get in please get in touch via WhatsApp (no signal at home) and Saturday lessons will start from Saturday 7th November.
WhatsApp 07864092037 to book 📞

My little school survive Covid and it’s now survived Cancer 👊 thank you to everyone that has supported through this difficult time and I’m so looking forward to getting back to a normal routine again 🫶

What a lovely day yesterday at Beirc winter dressage league 😊 and great to see so many entries, I hope it continues through the winter 🤞.
Team Barstobrick couldn’t have done me prouder, in the intro Junior section all 5 entries were my pupils, Lydia, Anya and Aimee all having their first ever go at a test, Alice taking her pony into its first ever test and then we have MacKenzie! The kid that doesn’t read or write and is learning to be a pony racer under the tuition of James just went in and smashed it taking the win with her pony Molly !!
In the P1 junior section Isla won with her pony Vinnie and Cora had a go at her first test on the amazing Bert to take 2nd place ♥️
For the Adults on the yard we had Caitie doing her first ever Novice to score 65% under a listed judge, Abbie took her ex racer down the centre line for the first time and Ruth scored an amazing 72% in the P1 👏 , in the P4 Olivia took Merry to her first competition and last but not least James did his first ever test on my horse Louie after I not only gave him the challenge of keeping him fit whilst I’m not allowed to ride but decided to throw a test in as well! For those that don’t know James was a national hunt jockey and only learnt what a 20 metre circle is 5 weeks ago and how to ride my horse that’s only used to me riding him!

What makes my job so satisfactory is not only watching these kids progress on to own ponies and competing but the team spirit, the support they gave each other and celebrating each others achievements.
Horses teach kids so much from empathy, compassion, commitment, work ethic, team spirit and being out of your comfort zone.
I also had the feed back that the kids are a credit to the riding school and offered help at the competition all day ♥️

A big thank you to Lindsey Birch and team for running theses competitions which gives so much opportunity to locals wanting to have a first go or moving up a level without pressure of affiliated .
Thank you 🤩

It’s all buzz on the yard this morning getting ready for the start of the Beirc winter league series, we’ve got liveries doing their first ever test and horses doing their first ever test . 🍀.

But a big shout out to Emma from dandg.hofmag.therapy for doing treatments at 7am on a Sunday morning and to the most dedicated farrier I know mikerobertsfarrier for also coming out first thing on a Sunday morning to replace a shoe.

We have the best team 👌♥️
