🎤 Our wonderful solo artist, Bell, performed the ever famous ballad “If I Ain’t Got You” - Alicia Keys

🎶 Bell has been working with Demi for the last few months on understanding her vocal anatomy and her vocal technique. She has progressed wonderfully in utilising different parts of her voice to enhance her vocal ability and range.

🎭She performed beautifully and we are so proud of her and her confidence growth🎭

❄️Winter Fair November 2025 ❄️

🎭🩷”ANNIE”🎭🩷

The amazing DLTA students stole the show on Friday evening with their musical theatre piece of “Annie” and also our beautiful solo singer “Belinda” who sang Alicia Keys - If I ain’t got you 🎶

Our stall was filled with happiness and lots of beautiful people to talk to and we are so lucky to have such a great support network.

🎭The students have been in rehearsals for 8 weeks and they’re performance was received with an amazing crowd and response- they even got a second bow 🎭

I am bursting with pride of their commitment hard work and for doing such a fantastic job in representing DLTA🩷

🎭ANNIE REHEARSALS WEEK ONE🎭

🌟MEET THE ORPHANS🌟

🎭 Rehearsals are now underway with our wonderful DLTA students.
🎭 Thursdays rehearsal consisted of character analysis, team building, confidence enhancement and working together as an ensemble.
🎭 A very fun session, exploring vocal technique with Demi Louisa, and understanding character development and use of an American accent.

🎭 The room was filled with laughter, creativity and smiles as we worked together to understand one another and used different acting techniques to create a strong sense of what it means to be in a team.

🎭 Demi Louisa is working with the girls on the dissection of their scripts and their character study, with accents.
🎭 We used artistic freedom as a warm up to create an improvisation set in New York City provoking the girls understanding of where “Annie” is set. They created their own small scene to perform as a collective to understand how their voices can be used together and acting technique to create a solid foundation between them all.

🎭 Monday will be the next rehearsals with our beautiful talented girls, focussing on their choreography with resident choreographer Chloe Hammet.

🎭 DLTA PROVIDES A UNIQUE AND INFORMATIVE TRAINING FOR ALL ASPIRING ACTORS TO BE.
🎭 TO BE AN ACTOR WE MUST UNDERSTAND THE GREAT PLAYWRIGHTS, PRACTITIONERS, THE HISTORICAL AND POLITICAL INFLUENCES, THE THEMES AND REASONS BEHIND THE CHARACTERS AND THEIR JOURNEY WITHIN THE PLAY.

🎭 WE WORK WITH CONTEXTUAL STUDY AND THEORY TO UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH, LAYERS AND COMPLEXITIES OF EACH PLAY WE EXPLORE.
🎭 WE LOOK AT THE CONTEXT, IN GREAT DETAIL WHICH HELPS INFORM OUR KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF EVERY ASPECT OF THE PLAY, PLAYWRIGHT AND ITS CHARACTERS.

🎭 ACTING CLASSES ARE PRACTITIONER BASED, FOCUSSING ON STELLA ADLER TECHNIQUE AS WELL AS LEE STRASBERG. - IMPLEMENTING THEIR TECHNIQUE AND METHODS TO ENCOMPASS A TRUTHFUL AND HONEST APPROACH TO OUR PERFORMANCES.
🎭 WE WORK WITH THE ACTORS TO EXPLORE THEIR OWN LIFE EXPERIENCES, MEMORIES AND SENSE MEMORY TO UNDERSTAND HOW IT CAN BE BROUGHT FORWARD TO ANY SCRIPT OR PLAY WITH RELEVANCE.

🎭Paige Cann started with DLTA just a few months ago, she has been working with contextual study and theory. Focussing on classic playwrights as we believe at DLTA without the classics there is no contemporary.
🎭 Paige has been working with Strasberg emotional recall methods, sense memory exercises and script dissection using her theory and contextual knowledge to apply this to her understanding of the play “The Crucible” and the complexity and depth of her character “Abigail”.
🎭 Paige came to us with no experience in acting or understanding the craft or its history.
🎭 Demi Louisa has worked with Paige to build a strong acting foundation knowledge practically and theoretically inside and outside the room.
🎭 Paige’s confidence and acting technique has grown and is now being showcased as she has now been cast in a commercial which is due to take place THIS SUNDAY!

🎭Paige, I am so proud of you for your hard work and dedication and drive to want to know everything that the acting world has to offer. I am so proud of your confidence and determination to grasp the opportunities that have now come your way because of your commitment and passion.

🎭 Demi Louisa has a wealth of knowledge around the structure, the expectations and process when working in studios, sets and the stage.

🎭 TRANSFORMATION SATURDAYS🎭

🎭 Bell has been working with Demi Louisa for just FOUR WEEKS!!
🎭 Bell is one of our vocal anatomy/vocal technique students. She came to Demi with a real passion for wanting to learn to sing and access the parts of her voice she so desperately wanted to explore.
🎭 Demi has worked on vocal technique, breath work, diaphragm support, belt, and mixing resonance and vibration to strengthen bells beautiful sound.
🎭 Bell has been a brass player for many years and is very musically informed.
🎭 This beautiful girl had no confidence when she first started with Demi, scared of those big bold notes, those complex songs and their varied vocal ranges.
🎭 Demi has worked on a one to one basis with Bell weekly to provide a safe, supportive and effective environment to really build on Bells vocal skills and technique.

🎭 Demis work does not stop once the students have left the room, they are each assigned tasks and debriefs with personal recommendations and tasks to fully encompass all aspects of what it means to train as though we are in the industry.
🎭 All of our students are given personal tasks and guidance with resources supplied to enhance their independent knowledge and understanding of the layers that form their own unique abilities as performers.

🎭 The confidence and progression with Bell in FOUR weeks has been outstanding and has given the student a boost in confidence and understanding of her own vocal abilities.

🎭🎤JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE🎤🎭

🩷 OUR LITTLE DIVA LUCY 🩷

🎭 We take pride in offering musical theatre combined lessons of vocal technique, acting masterclass combined with musical theatre repertoire.
🎭 Lucy is working with Demi Louisa on her vocal technique, American accent dialect and understanding her beautiful voice and how she can access her big sounds and resonance within her weekly sessions.
🎭 Lucy is currently working on sections from “Annie” enhancing her knowledge of the classic and how we can work on her characterisations and understanding of her vocal technique to create those “twang” American sounds.
🎭 Lucy is also working on her understanding of character development working on a monologue piece she is currently working on the character “Tessie” it was only right to give this role for our little diva.
🎭 Lucy attends sessions weekly and has already made huge progress in just a few sessions.
🎭 Demi Louisa works with students inside and outside of lessons providing tasks that the students can easily access and practice at home in-between lessons. She concentrates on breath work, and accessing the support from the breath with the use of the diaphragm.
🎭 We always begin with the classics for every student as the classics are the reason behind all our loved contemporary musicals out there right now.
🎭 Lucy is a delight to teach and her energy and sass brings light and imagination to her lessons with Demi Louisa. We are super proud of her and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her 🙏🎭
