For national story telling week we took a trip to the library to read some books! Books are an excellent way to expand communication and language development 📚
We took a lovely walk and talked about what we could see and hear using there senses to explore the environment around them. the children loved talking about the traffic lights, red for stop and green for go.

This morning the children have been learning about Remembrance Sunday, the children used their fine motor skills to dip sponges into red paint and Dab it onto paper and then use a paintbrush to create the inside of the poppy.

This Term the children have enjoyed talking about the weather changing and all the leaves falling. 🍃🍂

We went on a nature walk to look for different coloured leaves to make some autumn pictures.

The children enjoyed talking about the different sizes of leaves and what they felt like.

At Building Blocks Rickmansworth we have been making lots of different crafts for halloween! The children enjoyed making sensory bags using their sense of touch to move the Googley eyes around the bag, spiders using their fine motor skills to thread the legs through the holes and spooky monster faces using paper plates and their choice of colours.
