Our environment is set up to enable children to feel comfortable and confident with making choices within their play on a daily basis. Children have a wide range of resources to choose from to cater for their individual needs. Throughout our day, we make sure that our educational programme covers all areas of learning as set out in the EYFS. These areas are interconnected and within the activities that we provide are all seven areas of learning and development. The Prime Areas of the EYFS. Communication and language development. This involves giving children the opportunities to experience a rich language environment to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves and to speak and listen in a range of situations. Physical development within Jane’s Childminding. We provide children with an all-round understanding from fine motor skill opportunities to gross motor skill opportunities throughout the day. We help children persevere with balancing, ball skills, and explain the importance of physical development and the understanding of making healthy choices. These choices are promoted through what we eat at meal times and promoted to parents in newsletter. Personal Social Emotional development. This is promoted by helping children understand their importance and the emotions on a daily basis and how this can affect their daily routine. Children are helped to understand respect others, develop social skills, and learn how to manage their behaviour. We help each child reach their full potential and reward them with positive feedback and modelling appropriate behaviour. Literacy. We have a wide selection of books to inspire children's imaginations. These we use throughout day which include the Biff and Chip books to Jolly phonics and nursery rhymes. We also have a section of story sacks which children can take home to use with their parents. Mathematics. We develop children's skills in counting by the environment giving them opportunities constantly throughout their play. We encourage sorting every day as the children tidy away as part of our routine. Understanding the world. We have a rich environment where children can learn about the community through our people who help us topic and the parents support us with helping out in our daily routine. We explore our environment outside and encourage the knowledge that children bring to the setting after being outside play area. Children use torches and can use magnifying glasses for exploring the world we live in. Expressive arts and design. The children can access a wide range of media and materials independently. They can support their feelings and ideas using art musical instruments dance role-play and design technology. Creating their own feeling, thoughts and ideas in many different ways. Teaching Assistant at QLS Level 2. My son works along side me as my assistant. He has is Level 3 Childcare Early Years foundation, fully First Aid Trained and Channel General Awareness Counter-Terrorism Strategy. Things we will be doing in the day with the children while in our care are painting, drawing, card making, puzzles and many other fun creative things. Read books learning to write and learn new words, numbers and shapes. Keeping them active, playing in and outside the house. Going on small walks around Richmond lots of play outside in the garden. Baking and cooking lovely yummy healthy treats, which they can enjoy at snack times and with their meals. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm. However if you require any hours out of these stated then please contact me. I will try to be as flexible as I can to help suit your needs. Prices
Please contact for details. I can also offer 30 funded hours to 3-4 year olds and 15 for all 2 year olds that are eligible. A deposit £60.00 will be asked to secure a place,
Fees are payable at the beginning of each week for the care I am going to provide that week. Fees can be paid by cash or bank transfer. Late payments - If I have not received payment within seven days of the original invoice I reserve the right to make an additional charge ‘Late payment Fee’ as per our contract to cover any bank charges I may have incurred. Contracts will be agreed at the beginning of your child starting and will be reviewed every year. If you wish to make changes to your contracted hours it is required you give me 2 weeks notice. If you wish to take your child out of my setting or change contracted hours then again I ask that you give me 2 weeks notice. Breakfast is offered if parents wish. Lunch and snacks along with all drinks are all included within the fee. If your child(ren) has any allergies or need special diet requirements, i.e. Diabetes or Lactose free meals I am able to cater for. To help me cater for these needs to would be very helpful for parents to give me their likes and dislikes. As a Child minder, it is an important role in giving parents a greater choice of high quality, flexible and affordable childcare and family support service. The combination of continuity of care and ability to offer one to one care making child minders a good option when looking for care for your children. As a Ofsted registered child minder we all still have to take the same courses and have all the same qualification as them who work in Nurseries and to be checked by Ofsted and be CRB checked along with following the same EYFS framework.
