CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM MIDDLETON LODGE
With Christmas just a couple of weeks away, we are busy getting ready for a fun packed festive period. Whilst we're full of busy, we are acutely aware that this time of year can be especially hard for many people on their own or who find themselves struggling financially. This year on Christmas Day, along with providing lunch for over 180 people on site we are also preparing and delivering a limited number of free hot Christmas lunches to those people in the local community most in need. If you or someone you know could really do with this help, please send Glen a direct message on [email protected] and we hope together we can help spread a bit of Christmas joy.
Deliveries will be made to Middleton Tyas, Barton and Gilling
Marry Christmas & a Happy New Year from us all at Middleton Lodge!
Village Church Help Required
There is a delivery of new gravel arriving at the village church on Monday morning about 8.30am, this will need to be spread over the drive/pathway to the church.
There are two or three willing bodies to do this but we would appreciate any extra help if anyone fancies a free outdoor workout 😉 Many hands make light work and good deeds never go unrewarded!!
I know most school students break up today, maybe some would like to start the holiday with a good deed?

There have been a significant number of complaints from residents in respect of dog fouling on the pathways, pavements and footpaths in the village.
Dogs are a welcomed addition to village life, enhancing our community and providing much needed support and friendship , BUT ownership carries a non negotiable responsibility to pick up after them. The reason why does not require explanation.
The feelings of members of the community about the decline of standards of late have been made clear and unequivocal in the community posts and we would ask that those who are responsible recognise that such views are entirely reasonable.
Members of the parish should not have to clear up after other residents’ dogs
