π Meet the Teacher... and Meet the New Headteacher! π
We are looking forward to welcoming families to our Meet the New Teacher Drop-In Session next Thursday 2nd July after school β a wonderful opportunity for parents to meet their child's new teacher, see their classroom and start getting excited about the year ahead.
As an added bonus, our new Headteacher, Mr Campbell, will be out on the yard between 3.00pm and 4.00pm and would love the opportunity to say hello to children, parents and carers.
To help you spot him in the crowd, we've included a little sneak peek photo! ππΈ
Starting a new school year is always exciting and for Mr Campbell it's the beginning of a new chapter too. Please do stop by, introduce yourself and give him a warm RMS welcome.
We look forward to seeing you there! π

What a truly special day at Richmond Methodist School! π
Today, we were honoured and privileged to welcome celebrated author and behaviour expert, Paul Dix, to Richmond Methodist School.
Since September 2019, our journey of relational practice has been deeply influenced by Paul's work through *When the Adults Change, Everything Changes*. His message has shaped our thinking, challenged us to reflect and strengthened our commitment to building a school where relationships come first and every child is treated with respect, love and unwavering kindness.
To have Paul visit RMS today, see our practice in action and celebrate the journey we have been on together was incredibly special. As inspirational in person as he is through his writing, he reminded us why this work matters so much: changing adult behaviour changes children's experiences, opportunities and futures.
Thank you, Paul, for your wisdom, encouragement and inspiration. We are proud to be a βWhen the Adults Changeβ Partner School.

A HUGE thank you to the FORMS 'Green Dream Team', our incredible staff and volunteers whose commitment, energy and dedication made Summer Fair 2026 such a special β and record-breaking β day! ππ
It was our busiest Summer Fair yet and, thanks to this amazing team and every single person who donated a little something or came along to support us, we raised an incredible Β£4,800+ profit for our wonderful school and children. What an achievement!
If you had fun at the fair and would like to help create more magical moments like these, please consider joining our Friends of Richmond Methodist School (FORMS) PTA. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, you'll be making a real difference, with every penny raised going straight back into our RMS family for the benefit of our children.

On Friday, we celebrated some very special children who have gone over and above in showing Agape β unconditional love for all. π
Through their kindness, compassion and willingness to put others first, they have truly lived out our school values and made a difference to those around them.
As a small way of saying thank you, they enjoyed the best seats in school during Celebration Worship, followed by a well-deserved treat of 'ice-lollies' with the Head! π¦π
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Thank you for showing us what love in action really looks like. You make our school a better place every day. Thank you for 'doing all the good you can' for all.

What a joyful afternoon celebrating our incredible Year 5/6 cricketers! ππ
We are so proud that both our boys' and girls' teams reached the District Finals. Our boys were crowned District Champions, winning gold and securing their place at the North Yorkshire Finals. Our girls also played brilliantly, finishing level in first place and only just missing out on qualification on runs scored. What an achievement!
To mark their success, we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Richmond - Clive World - to present the teams with their medals. He stayed for our Celebration Assembly, where he had children and adults alike joining in with the legendary Richmond tale of The Drummer Boy. Mrs Stevenson and Mrs Walker were even honoured to try on the mayoral chains!
It was a truly special afternoon filled with pride, community spirit and plenty of smiles. Well done to all of our cricketers β you have represented our school brilliantly and we couldn't be prouder!

What a way to celebrate Mrs Stevensonβs last Summer Fair! π
Our Year 6 children were simply AMAZING at this year's Summer Fair. Creating and running their own stalls is a real rite of passage at RMS and this cohort outdid themselves with their creativity, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit.
From mocktails (I can highly recommend the "Stevo Spritz" πΉ!) to Hook-a-Duck and so many other brilliant ideas, every single stall was a joy to visit. Best of all, they raised an incredible **Β£949** β the most EVER raised by our Year 6 stalls!
We couldn't be prouder of our Year 6 - doing all the good they can and leaving a lasting legacy at RMS. πππ
